Peugeot Satelis 125 - Maxi Scooter Motorcycle - Low Miles - Ready to Ride

PEUGEOT SATELIS 125 PREMIUMI am reluctantly selling my Peugeot Satelis 125 Maxi Scooter/Motorcycle. These really are great rides for riders with only a CBT. or looking for a super-economic ride around or commuter. It has real road presence unlike most 125 scooters. it's wide. long and generally has a bit of a "tourer" look to it. The 2 "sidelights" have been upgraded to LEDs which look superb and draw attention from traffic. Compared to the smaller mopeds around. you're far more likely to be seen on this. Despite this the handle bars have an excellent turn radius and you can still weave through traffic. or scoot around town. It doesn't feel chunky to handle either. It is at the top end of what a CBT rider can legally ride (15 BHP) and it really does put this power down well. I will happily pull up in the right hand lane at a round about. as I know the bike will put me ahead of the traffic. The bike will sit at just under 70 MPH on the dual carriageway and will take you up any hill. The boot is huge. I can stow my helmet. trousers. summer jacket and gloves. As you'd expect from a 125 bike of this age there are a few scuffs and scratches on the body work. nothing critical though. and you can see these in the photos. So far as riding goes. this bike appears mechanically sound. Everything works as it should. brakes. lights. horn. indicators. hazard lights and throttle all act and respond as expected. This has started on the button. immediately every single time I've ridden it. It always pulls off well. maintains it's temperature well and takes the bumps of British roads like a trooper. A new rear tyre was fitted at the start of September (the last one picked a nail up during a ride). Both brake calipers have just been serviced so no worries about stopping either. This is still my main means of commuting so the mileage will continue to go up (about 100 miles weekly). but that should prove that the bike is truely ready to ride!Over the summer this bike was ridden medium distances on a regular basis. and recently completed the 120 mile ride down from middle England with no issues. MOT until May 2015. The bike is taxed. but my understanding of the new rules is that you will have to re-tax it upon purchase (this costs around £17 per year only). Insurance wise. with just a CBT it cost me around £180 a year to insure. but shop around. I have a price in mind and I'm not going to accept cornflakes voucher and pair of shoes. so no silly offers please.
