I bought this bike just under 2 years ago wanting to do my CBT. Now I have upgraded to a new bike. It's very comfortable to ride. the seat is huge as is the pillion seat and it'll cruise at 55-60 mph. it's pretty quick of the mark too. which surprised me for a bike of its size. It has a compartment under the seat which is unlocked by remote control plus a boot in the rear. The fuel tank is filled via a lockable flap in the foot boards. The fuel tank is also very large so you don't have to fill up every 5 minutes. It's done just over 23000 miles.
The condition is what I would describe as good. the paintwork is a really nice shade of Metallic red. there are a few small scratches on the sides and on the Left front there's a small hole (see the pic's). these were all caused by the bike falling over rather than crash damage - believe it or not you can still drop a bike with three wheels! The paint on the engine has just been redone and also the exhaust has been retreated and repainted. It took me ages :) .
When I bought the bike the previous owner had installed a fog light on the boot which I removed but this has left two holes in the boot. I have covered them with tape (see pics) to help make it watertight. This also means there is an extra wire loom in the boot (see pics) which is rated at 5 Amps and could possibly used to install heated grips or a power point. it is wired so that when the engine is off it also is off as well as a dash switch.
The only known 'faults' I am aware of is that the handbrake Sticks on and the corresponding light on the dash stays on for a while after its released . it's probably something simple like a an over tight cable but I really didn't want to start taking the bodywork off to investigate it. Besides if you lock the wheels and put it on the center stand it going nowhere. Also the hazard lights do not work (sold by dealer like that). I have replaced the switch but still nothing. The only other thing worth mentioning is the starter motor is a little noisy (local garage said its fine).
It has a system on where you can lock the front wheels when you are coming to a stop so you don't need to put your feet down (which. no doubt. has the car behind scratching their heads). This is done by pressing a button just before you stop. As soon as rev the bike the lock dis-engages and away you go. The bike really does turn a lot of heads. every time I have been out people have asked about it. Physically it's a very impressive looking thing. it's bigger than I had expected and with the quirkiness of the two front wheels it's not surprising these things are so desirable. even more so in recent time with people swapping the second car for a scooter to avoid traffic. high fuel bills and parking fees in equal measure.
It's worth pointing out that you will need a CBT to ride this. I'm sure one of the bigger models can be ridden on a car licence so I think that causes some confusion. but I think if you're going to take to the road for the first time at around £100 for a CBT I think it's money well spent. It is Learner Legal which is handy (17+ years with CBT).
I have a bunch of spare handlebar switches. a new center console plate. a CVT Bearing replacement (not needed)and a spare air filter sponge which will come with the bike. Also I will be parting with my Oxford Maximiser 3800 Battery charger/maintainer with the bike (just handy to have). I fitted a pair of Acerbis wind guards to the bar ends which are a god send in winter(they also light up for extra visibility). I have both the main key and the immobiliser key as well as both manual books.
Due to funding issues with two bikes. the bike only has about a month left on the MOT it passed last time with no problems. I have the log book in my name and I can give you handwritten receipt if required.
Thanks for taking the time to look and read the description.
I just thought i would add this but i Can Not let you ride this away unless you bring proof of insurance and and a valid licence (Provisional + CBT or full bike licence). But a man with a van is welcome if you dont have them.
Also now due to UK Tax Disc Laws i cannot transfer the Disc so you will also need to purchase one (£17). Sorry.
