2004 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Very low mileage,MOT July 2015 lovely classic bike

2004 Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Rarer 500cc model. ne of the last of the all black. rum brake. spd right hand change kickstart models. ased on the original Redditch 1955 Bullet. Royal Enfield no longer make the pre unit models. aving finally succumbed to EU legislation. lus i think they look awful now as well. Mot until July 2015 and Taxed until Feb 2015. hough thanks to the DVLA. his is irrelevant now. s it will have to be sold with no tax. Tax is only £31 for 6 months though. Has covered less than 3000 miles from new. acked up by old mot's and service book. I have fitted a replica Smiths speedometer (original kept for reference) which is far more accurate (as well as being a nice period fitting) so suspect the actual mileage to be even less. The original Indian speedo's being well known for over reading. n my case by 10mph! The Smiths replica i have checked with a GPS and its almost dead on. Faults are the spokes have surface rust on them. ainly on the rear wheel. nd a little pitting  on the rims. nd a few fasteners have rusted as well. asily sorted though.  Paintwork overall is very good. ust a few small scratches/chips as you would expect from a 10 year old bike. Some of the paint has flaked off the front lower engine cradle (see pics) easily repainted i just havent got round to it. he bike has been liberally protected with ACF50 before i started using it. Slight weep from the headgasket when the engine is hot. ts is an Enfield after all! Overall it is in very nice original condition. ts been garaged for most of its life. I have greatly enjoyed using it through the summer. iding it to work and back daily. lways starts first time and has been totally reliable. Engine is quiet and smooth with no nasty rattles or knocks. oesnt smoke either. Clutch and gearbox good. rakes excellent. ear shocks are adjustable too. I used to have original British bikes years ago but cant justify the cost of buying one now. nowing i will have to constantly work on it. eal with 50 year old worn out components and woeful 6v lighting. he Enfield being the perfect blend of modern day reliabilty with old fashioned mechanicals. nd a very faithful representation of the original. Its a wonderful bike to ride. ve lost count of the amount of people who either think its a 50s bike or commend me on my "restoration" haha. I have fitted bullet indicators. chrome bar end mirror. ucas rear light. ushion grips (no more vibes!) bar end weights. Royal Enfield front mudflap and removed the P. A. V emissions device.  Its also fitted with a British bike English made silencer rather than the really long one fitted originally. his sounds great! Most of these parts have come from the brilliant Enfield parts supplier. itchcocks. All these things have given it a much more 50s look about it. lso comes with a single sprung saddle and a black and silver plate should you want to go down that route even further.  Fitted with Avon Speedmasters which are like new. nd a halogen headlamp bulb upgrade.  I have religously maintained it and not long changed the oil and filter.  Front brake has been stripped. leaned and cams greased and carefully adjusted. ts better than some discs ive ridden!Comes with owners handbook. ervice book. orkshop manual. sets of keys. riginal tool kit and even the original first aid kit. V5C in my name and a pile of old mot's and reciepts.  Will also include a few spares. nner tube. park plug  etc. I also have the original black mirrors and indicators should you want to return it to factory spec.
