1971 Rickman Enfield number 108 of 136 produced. Sold through Elite Motors in London as a complete bike and this one was owned by Dick Laplant - tuner and distributor for Royal Enfield in Southern California. 5900 miles from new and ridden on antique plates. Pictures taken after 150 mile ride. Cylinder base gaskets and push rod tubes replaced at 5500 miles and re-sealed. Motor is very torquey and does not smoke. Shifts well. Brakes and suspension work well. Headlight switch is intermittent. I am the third owner and am only selling to finance a house repair of epic proportions. Alloy tank shown on the bike is a work of art. I will also include the original fiber glass tank that is in decent shape, long with the correct emblems,Rickman chain adjustment shim set and owners manual. Metal Profile forks are smooth and work well as do the Girling shocks. Ignition updated to a Boyer electronic. Manufacture date 6/1971.
