Royal Enfield Clubman - Hitchcock 612cc Conversion

2008 Royal Enfield 500cc Clubman c/w. Electric Start and 5 Speed gearbox

 converted to Hitchcock 612 cc.

The previous owner (an American) purchased this bike 2008 and commissioned Royal Enfield of Surrey (RES)  to tune it using the

Hitchcock 612cc kit. On his return to America he decided not to take the bike with him and left it with RES to sell it.   

I purchased this bike from Royal Enfield Surrey. Ripley in May 2010 and have owned for 5 years. Being an old rocker at heart. nbsp;I

always wanted a big single sports bike like the iconic BSA Gold Star or the Thruxton Velocette but their current market value

is prohibitively expensive.

This Bike has been sparingly used (1. 32 Miles to date) and totally mollycoddled from new. In my ownership over the last 5 years I have

completed less than 500 miles between the months of May to October 2010 to 2014. It is then stored over winter in a heated garage until

the following spring when it is re-commissioned. serviced and MOT'd ready for the summer.

This tuned Royal Enfield will match the power and looks of the iconic sixties big singles and has the benefit of modern construction methods

(especially electric start).  This bike has lived up to my expectation and it is a fantastic ride. Regretably due to health problems I have not

used it as much as I had hoped and so have decided to sell it.

This bike Is truly a one off and the new owner will have one of the best Royal Enfield Clubmans built.

1) British made long stroke crankshaft

7) Twin alloy top yoke c/w existing speedo and matching replica rev counter (I still have original nasel and ancillary parts)

8) Revised wiring to suit fairing layout

9) Wheels rebuilt to include alloy rims

10) Side stand safety electric cutout switch

11) Lifting Handle to place bike on centre stand

12) Modified Craven rear bike rack c/w mods to indicators  

Retained Clubman specification:

1) Alloy petrol tank

2) Chrome mudguards

3) Ace handlebars

4) Rear sets

5) Clubman seat

Additional Items of Note;

1) The bike was purchased new from Royal Enfield Surrey and they undertook all the modification work to it together with annual services and MOT's

2) After Engine rebuild it was run in for 1. 00 miles by Royal Enfield Surrey.

3) Cost of additional above work on top of Standard Clubman price of ?4300 is ?5. 00 totalling in excess of ?10. 00.

4) Hitchcock’s BHP figures for the 612cc conversion increases the standard Clubman bhp output from 16 to 40bhp (an increase of166%).
