Here is my little Sunbeam Sidecar combination. It shows no previous owners on the V5c. but that is because it was rescued in 1990 with no documents and "first registered" then. It is actually believed to originally be a 1949 registered bike. The number plate does seem to be transferrable. which may add a little to your estimate of value but actually means that it has a reg that suits the bike. rather than one of these new age related plates that end up on cars and bikes nowadays. The bike was restored in 1990. which is 24 years ago!! It was an amateur job. respectable but not by any means show standard and now has various flaws. It looks more like a nicely preserved old machine now. rather than a newly restored one. What they call patina. when trying to justify condition below 1st class! I would say the front wheel rim would be up for replacement if you want the chrome rims to be good. There are two holes drilled in the sidecar. just in front of the screen. There was a mascot in there. She comes with an unused kit for a tonneau cover. with all the fasteners etc. She hasn't done many miles. but she has been out for runs. She was last MOT'd in May 2013. but she is now MOT exempt. The miles since then are minimal and I think everything still works OK. I have posted a video at
http://youtu. be/sVu1J2QhnVw
this is really just to show that the engine runs and the lights work. The fuel in the tank is a year old. so not in tip top condition. Won't take long to run through though. or you can drain it and put in fresh. It drives OK too and the brake light works! You can view in Ringwood Hants.
I am listing as a classified for two reasons. Firstly. I have asked folk what they think it is worth and I get very conflicting answers. I guess this is because it is relatively rare now to get a combination. So. I have put up an estimated value and we will have to see what offers come in. Secondly. I am in the market for a more modern sports tourer. so may entertain a part-ex.
