Suzuki GS-400L 1983 New MOT (no advisories) This is a bike I've owned for several months now. bought as a non running project. I've taken my time to finish it and I never intended to sell it straight on once it was finished. I love these little six speed twins. But. a house move and smaller garage forces me to let it go hopefully to someone who will love it. I have recently done a lot of work to it. here's a list of the things that come to mind: New paint (Panther black metallic) New Bridgestone tyres. inner tubes and rim tape. Fitted and balanced by my local bike tyre shop. New wheel bearings at the rear. Brakes overhaul. re-built front caliper and cleaned rear drum with new shoes. New fork seals. re-built forks with new oil. Full engine service (oil. oil filter. air filter foam. NGK plugs) Carburettors stripped and cleaned ultrasonically. Re-built petrol tap. new fuel filter and lines. New Battery. New front mudguard. Replacement original rear mudguard and tail light. Replacement original handle bars. Complete one off 2-2 exhaust system. hand made from old Triumph T140 single skin manifold pipes with original Suzuki silencers. New professionally recovered seat This is all I can remember at the moment but you can see I have spent a lot of time and money on this bike. I decided to throw so much effort into this one as I believe it's a good little investment. A lot of the 550L parts fit this bike so parts are easy to find thanks to big breakers such as DK Motorcycles. It's a lovely bike. I own a GSX450 which is a very similar bike to this one however it has the alloy wheels and a straight frame design. unlike this one which has the nicer spoked rims and the more custom shape. The bike needs nothing. the engine runs superbly like clockwork and the gears/clutch all seem fine. The chain and sprockets are also in good condition and didn't need replacing. it starts easily. stops as it should and rides straight as you would expect. All in all a cracking bike. perfect for a new rider or someone shorter in the leg because of its low seat height. Low reserve for what I believe is a rare old bike. Please bid. don't ask me what it's buy it now price is because there isn't one! I can deliver this bike personally or have it delivered to your door via a trusted courier if you are too far away. Please email me for a quote. Cash or bank transfer only. Winner to make contact straight after auction ends please.
