This very fine looking 1979 Suzuki GS750L factory custom cruiser has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the r/h mirror. The bike doesn't appear to have stood forever as there is a glimmer of life in the battery & fresh fuel in the tank. Sadly the speedometer is off another model so the mileage cannot be relied upon. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean discs. calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & tidy. Tail light is good as are the headlight & hangers. Fuel tank & side panels are solid & tank is squeaky clean inside but is dented & has other marks & scratches in the original paint. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid but billowing slightly. Seat isin good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically very clean – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the certificate of title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Suzuki UKs customer support on 0500 011959 (press opt 2 & opt 2 again) with the Model type. frame & engine Numbers. they will organize an application for a dating letter – there is a charge for this service.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ?55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
