Description

I used to race with WERA in the mid '80's and had a Kawasaki GPz750. I stopped racing and riding all together in 1990! I gave it up cold turkey! In October 2012 (apx). I got the bug again and my wife was supporting of me buying another bike. I could not justify buying a new bike so I started looking around. I found this bike on eBay. bought it and picked it up in Charlotte. NC. It was a solid bike needing a lot to really get it going again. It could be driven but was unsafe. I immediately started working on it. Everything that I could get as original equipment Suzuki items. I did. I have receipts for most everything I have purchased. I put new tires and chain on it right away. I order new Suzuki (from BikeBandit OEM parts) hand grips. mirrors. turn signals. turn signal relay. levers. throttle cable. clutch cable. brake pads (front/rear). gaskets for clutch. valve cover. alternator. new fiber and metal clutch plates. new springs. clutch cable lever/worm gear assembly (at main sprocket cover where cable goes in). Suzuki side covers (both sides). grommets (for side covers). fuel petcock. fuel lines and new nuts and bolts so everything would look good. What I could not do mechanically. my local shop. Marietta Motorsports. did for me. They also ran the dyno on the bike for me. I have the dyno reports available in the book I keep for the bike. I have 2 exhaust systems for the bike. MAC black 4 into 1 and MAC chrome 4 into 2. I bought the DynoJet Stage 3 carb kit and installed them along with K&N individual air filter pods. The jetting is perfect at all speeds. I had a professional repaint the parts I took off the bike. Gas tank. cowling. front fender. rear tail section and the 2 new Suzuki OEM side covers I was able to find. I really love this bike. It reminds me of my racing days and makes me feel young again. But my wife is not comfortable riding it with me. And I am at that point where I want her to go when I go! So. I need to find something that works for both of us. I am hopeful someone like me will want to take over the project. I ride it every day. It is fun and runs great. It looks good and all my friends and workmates love it. They will kill me if I sell it. But I would rather have something my wife and I both can enjoy. If you have questions about the bike. I am happy to answer via eBay. I live in Atlanta. GA so if you are local. maybe we can get together. I am not trying to sell it via other methods. It is just on eBay! And if it does not sell. then that's OK too!
