Suzuki GSX 1100 Katana.

After 14 years of ownership it's time to part as the old Kat is just not getting used enough as you can see from the mileages on the MOT document. not even being used last year and it's just too nice to be sitting around. I have other bikes and am using this one less and less.

Passed MOT yesterday with no advisories and is running well. but really needs the cobwebs blowing off. If you know these bikes you know that they require a lot of commitment to get the best out of them regarding riding style(!) hence I am using it less and less (god I sound like an old man).

I have tried to show the flaws in the paint and on the frame which is powder coated. The bike was fully restored a couple of years before it came into my possession and this is starting to show its age. but is still presentable and is still quite a crowd puller.  The value of these bikes fully restored is starting to rocket. maybe putting them into the category of not being able to be used regularly. which I think is a bit of a shame as they really are  about the riding experience. Better than money in the bank.

Non standard exhaust (It is a Harris and I think suits the bike. but it is rough and has been patched and flat blacked - works fine tho').

I've noticed a slight weep from the front master cylinder since bringing it back from the MOT and  the brakes are slightly binding. I will free off the brakes. especially if you want to ride away. If you know these old single piston Suzi brakes you will know this is a Springtime ritual that seems to be caused equally from winter use or winter standing! 

I would much rather you came to see the bike in person. The bike is in my lockup which is in a private yard so it can be ridden without tax there (currently SORN). and you are welcome to do this as long as I have the cash in my hand.
