Description

For sale is my 86 Cavalcade. It has normal wear and tear for an 86. It has 42. 00 miles and is a daily driver. It has normal blemishes and some broken plastics but nothing too crazy. It will need some exhaust gaskets in the future. perhaps a front tire. Beyond that I think it's good to do. Over the winter I replaced the engine oil and filter. the secondary oil. the final drive oil. the coolant. the rear tire. the front brake pads. the voltage regulator and battery. all 4 plugs were replaced with PJR7A NGK's. and I repaired an exhaust leak around where the mufflers clamp to the pipes. though I think it may need a gasket on the rear header pipe. It runs strong and handles well. the only issue I have with the bike is that the front brake is a bit soft. though that will be addressed soon. I'm told that it just needs to be bled better than what I did when I changed the brake fluid. Also the fuel filter was replaced with a NAPA 3006. and the air filter was changed too. Beyond that. it's a Cavalcade. so if you've owned one you know what it is. if not. then welcome to the world of cavalcades: It's a 1400 V4 and will smoke any Goldwing out there of similar vintage. Handles and rides great. the air seats still work and so does the cruise control and radio. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. the milage will continue to build as it is a daily driver. Due to the age it will only have a bill of sale. If you're local and you want to stop by and see it feel free. Just let me know and I'll make myself available. I do not take checks of any kind whatsoever. cash or Paypal only. Cash is preferred. and I will not ship it anywhere though I coUld be convinced to drop it off. perhaps. Thank youUPDATE*: I should add that the mufflers do not have the baffles on the end anymore. the chrome tips replaced them and as a result. it is louder than stock. It's more like a road king with screamin eagle pipes. It really sounds good though. the V4 really sings with a bit of restriction removed. The broken plastics I referred to are the the plastic bits around the map holder. and on the left side the mirror image part which houses the cassette tape holder. It's not destroyed but if you're a fanatic you'd need to replace it. Occassionaly I see them on ebay. I apologize but I may not have time to get the Cavalcade back to the shop to have the brakes bled better than what I am capable. I still ride it the way it is. so it works good if you're not road racing. lolThanks again
