1978 Suzuki RM100C vintage motocross

Up for bid a 1978 Suzuki RM100C Vintage Motocross bike. This bike looks and runs well but is NOT a museum piece nor intended for a show bike. I bought this bike a few years ago from a guy who had it sitting in a shed for many years unridden. It was sitting for a long time and the carb needed cleaning and the air cleaner needed cleaning. I took a compression test and it had 118 to 119 lbs of compression. After going thru the bike with a fresh new air cleaner and carb service the bike fired right up with a couple kicks. I intended to use the bike for ACR Vintage motocross racing here in the East Coast. I raced in many EVO classes years ago and the 100cc class looked like it was the most enjoyable and fun of all the classes. The bike was stripped down and all the bearings were repacked. The motor was not rebuilt and since it had 118 lbs of compression and plenty of power for a 100cc bike. I never took apart the top end. The bike has new carb jets to factory specs. A new air cleaner. new spark plug and other small things like cables. The seat cover is new along with front and rear fenders. I put my racing numbers on it because I intended on racing. I never raced because of my arthritis became worse. The bike could use some new shocks. The damping is spongy and the bolt bushings are shot. Needs new bushings for sure. The pipe is dent free and that alone is amazing. Pre-mix is 30 :1 Yamahalube R Super Unleaded. The oil is fresh in the transmission and surprisingly it appeared fairly clean when I bought it and it was sitting for a long time. The bike does not have a title but I can give an old fashion hand written receipt. No shipping available buyer is responsible to have the bike picked up in Northern New Jersey or arrange pick up by someone. No out of country bidders please. Take a good look at the pictures and description before you bid. The bike starts up and runs well but it is 37 years old and is a air cooled 2 stroke. A $200. 00 deposit is required at time of winning the bid and bike must be picked up within 2 weeks after auction.
