1981 Suzuki PE400. Perfect for vintage endure. The 1981 PE400 was the top of the line enduro bike back in its day. If you had one of these you had the best available. This bike has been recently restored from the top down. It was disassembled. painted. received new bearings in the wheels and fork stem. the forks are overhauled. new rear shocks. new tires. chain. rear sprocket. graphics. control and brake cables. FMF exhaust. rebuilt carb. new grips. handle bars. etc. The engine has a fresh top end and is now back to the standard bore. The jug was sleeved by LA Sleeve and new NOS parts including the wrist pin. wrist pin bearing. piston. and rings were used. The reed cage was fitted with Boyesen reeds. The plastics were buffed out. The rear fender is a RM fender. The tires are in nice condition with plenty of tread. The case halves were not split so the trans and crank have not been rebuilt. The bike rides and shifts up and down through the gears just like it should. It’s easy to start once warmed up. but can take a few kicks to get going when cold. just like all big bore dirt bikes. The bike was taken on 3-4 rides before it was decided to rebuild the top end. The bike has approximately 15 hours of riding time since the rebuild. The engine has less than an hour of run time since the new sleeve. piston. rings. and bearing were installed. I think you will be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a Suzuki PE400 which you can actually take out and ride like it was meant to be ridden. I have a few short videos of the bike running which were taken after the top end rebuild. I can email them to you if you like. I will not arrange shipping. but I am willing to help you a reasonable amount by delivering the bike to a close shipper or perhaps boxing or crating the bike if you arrange the shipping. You will be responsible for all shipping materials. Please contact me with details of what you need help with so that we can agree on these before bidding. You can pay with PayPay. but there will be a 3% charge added to the final sale price of the bike to cover the PayPal fees. You’re welcome to inspect the bike locally. No joy rides. No title. you will get a bill of sale. Mileage is unknown. but is obviously more than zero. I had to enter something to start the auction. nbsp;so I entered zero. Thanks for looking
