Description

Good Day Folks. You are looking at an excellent example of a 1981 GS850G which has been restored with all OEM parts except for things such as modern day brakes. and modern day charging system. This bike has been gone over with a fine tooth comb and what you are looking at is the real McCoy. Many new parts on this bike and i will try to only mention the significant ones to try to give you an idea of this build; one that i should mention is the fuel tank. The tank was purchased brand new in the Suzuki box (shown in one of the pictures)and has been stored for years and has never been mounted on a bike until this bike. This full roller bearing crank 2 valve per cylinder beast of an engine is known to be the most reliable of all bikes ever made along with the smooth shaft drive. These run tubeless tires which have less than 30 miles on them. Yes folks this is an 81'. those are CV carbs you're looking at. the kick starter was ADDED to the block and so was the new front fender. the best of the 79' model and the 81'. You will never be stranded on this bike. every single electrical component has been gone through and tested along with the entire harness. oh did i mention we added the kick starter" (of course it has electric as well). This bike has new OEM parts and no cheap aftermarket parts. The brand new tank that had 0 miles for this bike alone you will never find. Gold Racetech emulators. fork seals. boots. wheel bearings front and back. head stock bearings. Tremendous brakes: R1 Radial Calipers along with Radial Master Cylinder (I'm sorry folks. I tried to go original. but in this day and age with traffic and these drivers out there. this bike was only going to get modern day stopping power along with the re-valved forks). New air filter assembly. all fluids flushed. The list and work on the bike is too long and i can always come up with something new if i just keep listing it here. in fact. why don't you shoot me a question if you have any questions. A lot of you know these engines are monstrously overbuilt along with the tranny etc. Now you can ride a real classic motorcycle with that new wet' looking paint like a new bike. the most reliable engine on the planet. along with all of the reliability and safety of a modern day bike and modern day suspension. all without spending a fortune on a bike that's going to be ridden to the REPAIR SHOP most of its life and than sold for a huge loss. This bike is for the Gentlemen. no zero bidders. time wasters. only appreciators. This bike is not a "Retro" or a "Cafe" build. This is the real 71' Challenger not the 13' wannabe. To the winning bidder. contact me personally or this bike doesn't leave. My number is 516-965-2407. call Gabe. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. and the bike is being sold AS IS with a set of 2 key's and a title. There will be no "Returns" for all you scammers out there. videos and picture will be taken before this bike leaves. and of course after i receive payment in full. Come and see this bike. I'm in Long Island. New York. If You're going to use a shipper. please get on that right away. i am not going to wait around and hold this bike for you for half a year. I expect the bike to be picked up in no less than 2 weeks from the time of the winning bid. Thanks for looking. P. S. Some shots were with a pair of High Rise Black Pro-Taper Bars. If you like the way they look and want them. i will include it with the auction. Currently the bike has the Stock bars on. There is no Reserve.
