Description

For Sale my Suzuki 2003 DRZ400E Supermoto. This bike started out as a Kawasaki KLX400E off road electric start. This is when Suzuki was making them for Kawasaki. The NJ title states it as a Kawasaki. Anyway I bought it in 2011 with the plan of turning into a motard. It had very little time on it.So the winter of 2011-2012 I converted it. Its a very fun bike to ride but at 43 years oldI don't have much time to ride it and need the cash for my house.I was a professional motorcycle mechanic for many years. Here is what has been done to it.Performance: The FCR39 carb has been jetted the 3x3 air boxmod with a new UNI filter and the stock exhaust has been opened up and wrapped. Louder than stock but not too loud. APE manual cam chain adjuster the stock ones go bad.WHEELS: It has OEM Suzuki DRZ400SM wheels that were new when I bought them. The tires are ContiAttack SM 120/70-17 and 150/60-17 that are like new still.SUSPENSION: Stock fork and shock have been rebuilt and revalvedby Get Real Racing using special order Race Tech sping for Supermoto. The forks are also lowered in the triple clamps for better braking and handling. Shorter riders love it!BRAKES:The front bake is a oversize EBC kit 320MM Steal braided front line and sintered EBC pads the master cylinder is from a DRZ400S (bigger res. and mirror mount). The rear is stock using the OEM 400e rotor.GUARDS: It has just about every guard on it possible either stock or aftermarket. Fork bark buster/handguard radiator skidplate rear caliper and master cyl. engine exhaust ect.ECT: The headlight is an Acerbis that has a low flood that is always on and a highbeam that is on a switch. It has a DRZ400S horn that uses the kill botton as the switch the engine isturned on and offby the the keyed ignition. The tail/brake light is the stock light that now uses 6 led bulbs. The brake light is only operated by the rear brake but could be wired to the front as well.It has no blinkers but they could be added. I use hand signals. NJ law: if a motorcycle did not have them from the factory as mine did not they don't need them. Think custom choppers. It has a DRZ400SM optional low seat. SE bars with risers Scotts steering damper mount(DAMPER IS NOT INCLUDED)SM front fender and all black plast body work including the fuel tank. SS wide pegsGearing: New Sunstar 15/38 sprockets and a new 520 O-ring chain. Top speed is about 100 and it can cruise at 80 with this gearing. What does NOT come with it. ANY of the stock part. I have them all but theY will be offered separate from the bike as not everyone would want them and it would drive my asking price up. The stock seat and wheels are in great shape with good tires on them. The Scotts damper does NOT go. The mounts stays with the bike. It's from my woods bike that NEEDS it much more. You can get dampers alone fairly cheap.Plus it should have a street damper on it not a woods unit. This bike has little time on it. It's a true mileage unknown because the off road models odometers turned over every 99 miles. Why did I build it instead of buying a stock SM model? I wanted something different and planned on changing everything out anyway. Plus the E modles start out with some better parts have more power plastic tank ect..... I had 2 friends that had SMs ride it and said it does EVERYTHING better than a stock SM. I thought I was going to ride it more but I haven't and I need the cash. It has been completely tuned up including valve clearances checked needs nothing! ALL fluids have been changed. Thanks for checking it out and contact me with any questions. Thanks Paul. 973-714-5359.Sold as is. No Trades.
