1993 Suzuki VX800 project

So what's the deal?The bike was a good, unning, X800 when I lived in Maryland. We moved to Tennessee, nd the bike was in dry storage while we moved and settled in. But modern fuels are hygroscopic (absorb water from the atmosphere) and the tank became rusty. Rather than buy another VX tank, began the process of adapting an aluminum tank from a BMW K750. I got fairly far along, ut have lost interest in the project (OK, eally I've lost time). We are in the process of moving again (still in TN) and the bike is in the way. My loss is your gain and all that.
VX800 engines seem to sell for $400 to $600 dollars. As such, am selling this as though it were just an engine (bidding starts at $400) with a "Buy It Now" of $650. Remember, his nets you a good engine, ut with all the other parts! Have a VX that needs an engine but has a good tank and rear bodywork? Buy this one, wap over your good parts, nd part out your old bike. Or, f you can weld aluminum, inish the tank swap. Clear Tennessee title to go with the bike!
Note: I am in the market for a nice Suzuki GS500(E or F). If you have one, am open to working out a deal where I trade you this bike plus cash for your GS.
