Description

Suzuki GSX250 FWHere for sale is a rare bike in the UK. I brought this bike last year to use as a town winter hack however when i was riding it home one of the exhausts snapped at the header. so i limped the bike home and discovered the exhausts were completely shot. When removing the system 4 of the 8 bolts snapped that hold the heads of the exhaust to the exhaust port (see picture 11). While taking the exhausts off I noticed the frame was very bumpy under the badly painted frame. After closer inspection the frame was quite rotten. The more of the bike i took apart the worse things got almost everything had been bodge and every painted item looked good from afar but under close inspection was bad. So i decided to strip the bike back to bear metal. I was gonna restore the bike to a good standard. nothing that would win awards but just so the bike was rot free and clean. However im moving abroad next year so i have neither the time or the money now to finish her. This bike is quite a strange bike it looks similar to many Suzi's of the period but it almost shares no parts with any other model. it was a Japan exclusive bike and from what i have red was very expensive when released due to the high specifications. Due to this there are very few of these bikes in the world and even fewer in the UK. Here are some links that gives more info on the bike. http://www. motorcyclespecs. co. za/model/suzu/suzuki_gs250fw%2083. htmhttp://www. motorcyclesurvey. com/reviews/suzuki/gs250fw-s/The bike has a good engine and the frame is now free of rot however the swing arm will need some welding as 2 holes are present. The bolts that snapped off around the exhaust port stick out about 3 quarters of an inch so a bit of heat and some mole grips and they should come out without to much hassle. All parts are there and i have brought another exhaust from a Bandit 250 however its a different fit so will need modifying if you want to fit it to the bike. This bike needs lots of love but once done will be one of the rearest 80's bikes around and your sure not to see another one very often. V5 is in my name and I have the most recent MOT which ran out the June. Cash on collection and the bike is SOLD AS SEEN so if you have any queries make sure you ask before bidding. Cash on collection. any questions please eBay mail. text or call me on 07455634917. Thanks for looking!!
