Up for auction from my personal collection, he Vintage Motor Toys Private Reserve, s my outstanding 1974 GT750 Le Mans. The frame number appearing on this GT750 is GT750-51874 and the engine number is GT750-55639 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The odometer currently reads 8,990 correct and original miles. This GT750 is an outstanding example that I purchased some time ago when excellent examples like this were more readily available. I purchased the GT750 from the second owner who used it very sparingly. After purchasing the GT, put on about 50 miles and then drained the fluids, arked and covered it and it has been preserved ever since then. With so many motorcycles in my collection, do not have time to enjoy them all and I know the new owner of this outstanding, ow mileage GT750 is going to be receiving a very outstanding and a very original example. As you know, n outstanding example like this that has not been totally molested is very, ery difficult to find. This GT750 should not be confused with the other GT's commonly offered by others that have been molested or ruined in some way over the years. This GT750 is in the top percentages as far as quality, riginality and condition are concerned.
Mechanically, his GT750 is in excellent condition and is barely broken in with only 8,990 original miles. This GT750 easily starts with a quick tap of the start button and almost instantly idles down. The bike runs smoothly and is a pleasure to ride. The engine itself is very, ery clean most likely because it has never been dirty. As mentioned above, his example has been drained and on display for some time so I did fuel it up and take it around the block and it runs excellent. I then drained the fuel (this GT is ready for shipment and is currently dry with the exception of brake fluid). The brakes function properly and the front brake is functioning as new and does not leak. The front brakes quickly and smoothly bring the bike to a stop when applied. The electrical components are also in excellent working, riginal condition including the gauge lights, orn and dash board lights. The gear position indicator also works correctly on the dash board. The original replacement fuse bag is also present and filled with original fuses. The control switches all function and the buttons slid smoothly and crisply as they have been used only a few times. The horn sounds fresh with a nice crisp “beep” each and every time the horn button is depressed.
Cosmetically, his GT750 is outstanding. The original paint is in excellent condition with no fading and is in superb overall condition. This GT750 features the nicest original body work of any of my original GT’s. The paint has a deep luster and high gloss shine. There are 2 small dings on top of the tank that do not detract from its overall originiality and quality. The inside of the fuel tank is clean/bright clean metal and could probably useaquick rinse just from age if the new owner plans on riding this example. The side covers and emblems are original and feature nice paint and no cracks or damaged tabs. The seat is in outstanding original condition and the fabric is still soft and supple. The seat pan is solid as well. The gauges are in nice condition. The handlebar controls have no fading and are a deep black. The chrome on this GT750 is in overall excellent condition including the front and rear fenders, andle bars, ear shocks, eadlight ears, eadlight bucket, hain guard, ir box covers and rims. The exhaust match the quality of the rest of the bike and are solid and are the nicest set of original GT pipes I have seen. The front tire is original and the rear tire was replaced prior to my ownership. All other rubber components including the hand grips, ubber grommets, ront fork slider rubbers and peg rubbers are buttery soft and flexible. The under seat area of this GT750 is also very, ery clean, riginal and well maintained. The rear grab bar and mirrors are correct for this example and match the rest of the quality of this GT750. The mirrors are also the correct “S” mirrors.
I would like to stress once more that this GT750 should not be confused with the others that the general public has to choose from. It has nothing to do with and never will have anything to do with the average GT750. It is so clean, riginal, ow mileage, orrect and well preserved it would be very, ery difficult to find another one in this sort of condition especially from a reliable collector with outstanding feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and vintage Japanese motorcycles.
I also of course have a clear title that matches the VIN of this GT750 exactly and original keys for this example. This GT750 is ready for international export. This GT750 would be the perfect example to add to a collection as an outstanding example or would also be ideal to enjoy in its current outstanding, ostly original condition.
