Description

attention collectors, ere is a rare vintage mx bike for your collection.......back in 1977 fox racing had their own mx team show casing their aftermarket suspenion and motor parts. one of their riders[pat richter]rode a heavily modified rm125 to second place in the season opener and 7th overall for the season,a great season for a none factory rider.this bike is an exact replica of his bike.if you had the money in 1977 you could buy this bike compete and run with the factory guys.i started with a low hour bike and bolted on simons forks,a fox thor swingarm with the proper mounts to run the 17 1/2 fox air shox, motor was rebuilt and a rare period correct fox pipe was added.what really seperates this bike from other fox replicas u may have seen is the rare watercooled head and radiator.this kit was modeled after the shinobi watercooled heads from the time period and they were years ahead of production watercooled bikes and worked very well.wheels have all new stainless spokes and new tires, team colors tank was painted by joe newmann in texas and its perfect.nos footpegs, kick starter, cables, gas cap and oem silencer.brand new magura controls were standard on the fox team bikes.factory replica side panels, hand made radiator mounts and vented front plate.all fasteners are stainless allen heads.this bike and a few of my others were featured in five page vmx magazine article, issue 47 and i have included a few photos from the article.it has also been on display at the legends and heros semi at the new york supercross for the last two years and was a big hit.ive only seen one other pat richter replica of this quality and detail in the world and its at the fox headquaters in calif and was built by my painter joe newmann.i have been restoring honda elsinores since the early 90s and have bikes in the munginast museum in st louis, the ama headquarters in ohio and my last elsinore is sitting in the owners kitchen in texas,i included a few photos.since most of these bikes i build end up on display in man caves, dealerships and museums i dont run them after they are rebuilt.if you are buying this bike for more then display purposes let me know after you buy it and i will get it started with fuel and oil.the paint job on the tank alone was $600.00 so remember that if your gonna get it dirty......i also posted a few photos of this and a few of my other rare replica bikes that are all now for sale,if you have any questions about this or any of the other bikes ive built feel free to message me..............buyer must make ALL shipping arrangements including u.s. and out of country sales.............this bike has won every show ive ever entered it in....so if you want a something new for your collection you wont be disappointed
