1979 Suzuki Beamish Trials Bike - fully restored

1979 Suzuki Beamish Trials BikeThis bike has had a full restoration with a lot of new parts. I purchased this from a friend around 18 months ago and he and 2 of his other friends had done a full restoration (engine apart etc) on this over a period of time. This wasn't carried out by enthusiastic amateurs. it was done by 2 old school (and old). fully trained mechanics who have worked for both dealerships and race teams over the decades. They have carried out various other restorations to other classic bikes and take their time over doing it so that everything is done as it should. As you can see from the photos this bike is in great condition. It's had the polishing and chroming sorted and the paint on the tank re-done as well as the seat trimmed. New tyres. new brakes. new chain & sprockets. new bars and all of the engine reconditioned. No expense has been spared on this bike and I can obtain a comprehensive list of work carried out from my friend if required. I basically fell in love with this bike as soon as I saw it. However I am rubbish on a trials bike and have ridden this a grand total of 3 times and none of those were in anger! I would love to keep this as an ornament but sadly I could do with the cash that I have tied up in it and it's just a waste to see it sat in the garage doing nothing so it has to go. Please be aware that this bike cost me £2k however I am only asking £1600 for it and will not enter into any offers below that figure. The bike is easily worth this amount and I would rather keep it than let it go for less. I'm not desperate to sell and would like this to go to someone that actually appreciates it for what it is. If you are in to classic trials then you know that these bikes were one of the top bikes of their time and people still enter trials competitions on them now. It's not a Gas Gas power house so please don't expect that type of thing. What it is is a very beautiful 35 year old bike that demands looking after.
