Description

Item: Suzuki GSXR 750 Race-Tuned Motorbike.

Firstly. this isn't a standard 750 that someone has slapped a Power Commander on. this has had a full engine rebuild by a reputable race-tuner. The total cost of the work done was around £5k. probably more if I were to sit down and work out what I'd spent on fixtures/fittings etc.

Engine Work (the main points)

Cylinder Head - ported. polished. skimmed and pressure-tested/checked. Race cams - balanced and matched. Gearbox - close ratio 6th gear. check and rebuild. Crank - main bearings. big end bearings. nbsp;balancing. Power Commander - dyno run-in and setup. Various - any shim/fixture that needed replacing.

The engine is superb. I can't be bothered quoting BHP @ the rear wheel. unless it's done on a proper dynamometer the figures are at best guess-work. but I can say that it's quicker than my GSXR 1000! The engine is much more tractable than before. you don't have to rev the nuts off it. as you do with a standard 750. but when you do it's just incredible.

Various Other

Bodywork/paintwork - Ducati 3-stage pearl. the current line-up colourExhaust - Yoshimura. custom-modified. Transmission - brand new chain and sprockets. Suspension - re-valved WP. with WP steering adjuster/shock. Frame/wheels - everything powder-coated by LapTab in Birmingham. Tyres - brand new Pirelli Corsa's.

Project

The start - I bought the bike 3 years ago. and when I moved home the bike-mover scratched the bike. The scratches were tiny. but he did the front fairing. tank. bar ends. rear pod. wheels. So. the bike was an insurance job. and I bought it straight back. There was NO other damage. the tit had simply left it against the side of his van (which was ply-lined). and the natural movement in transit did the damage. The middle - it took me 2 years to finish the work. I had other bikes in the garage at the time so there wasn't a great deal of impetus to finish this. and as I wanted the engine to be perfect I had to wait 9 months for a slot with the builder. The end - I simply can't ride bikes like this any more. the hand/wrist won't allow it. I have 2 other bikes. both of which are worth less (and easier to ride). so the GSXR is reluctantly for sale.

Things to note

I'm not desperate. so I'm not even going to entertain silly offers so don't waste mine time or yours. The bike is registered in my name. but the private plate is coming off it. so the V5 is on its way. I have 100% feedback. with 5/5 item as described. so there are no issues with honesty.
