Up for auction is a 1974 Suzuki GT750 that has been cleaned and mildly refurbished. The bike was purchased from a Kawasaki H2 guy that had no interest in the Suzuki (he acquired it as part of a "deal"); it came with the wrong model fuel tank for the year (1976), ncorrect fork tubes for the model year (1975 - later) and painted an extremely pale blue (almost white). When brought home, he engine was running on all three cylinders and seemed like it would clean up okay. I reworked the front end; rebuilt the calipers/master cylinder, eplaced the rubber brake lines and replaced the fork seals (although I left the incorrect model fork tubes). The fuel tank was replaced with the correct model/year tank and it was painted along with the side covers a color reminiscent of the "flake orange" the bike may have been originally. At this point the bike was ready for a test ride - this was in late November - a very cold November. The crank seals failed (due to the temperature I believe) and the bike was put into cold storage until this past spring/summer when I replaced the engine with a rebuilt one. The crankshaft was reconditioned by Bill Bune, he water pump was replaced, nd the pistons/rings were replaced with new (they are OEM standard size due to great condition of the cylinders). The engine was assembled and installed with new points/condensors/spark plugs. The carbs were ultrasonically cleaned. The high tension coil leads were replaced along with the spark plug caps. The engine starts/runs and shifts well. It has approximately 100 miles on it since assembly (and will probably get a few more as the weather permits). The pictures tell the story - I can supply some narrative for any questions you may have. The bike is near Columbus Ohio (South/Southeast corner). Transportation is the buyers responsibility; I will do my best to work with you and your shipper if you do not pick it up yourself. Let me know if you have questions about this - I have sold a couple other bikes and as far as I know the process went well. The bike is listed as an auction with a reserve. International bidders are encouraged to review all associated costs prior to bidding. For everyone - please ask questions prior to bidding to prevent any later issues. Thank you and good luck with your bidding if this is what you are looking for.
