Here is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly outstanding collectable classic. The bike was bought off of a friend that needed some cash for a new car. he had it parked in a carpet shop showroom (in the corner) for the duration that he has owned it. he only rode it up and down the high street a couple of times and to the MOT station. The reason he sold it was because he already has the much sort after RD250 and will never part with that. He acquired the bike from another collector of 2 strokes down in Devon. it was part of a vast collection that the owner was reducing to a manageable amount. so this bike has been in the hands of collectors and kept indoors for years.

The mileage. who knows. this could actually be genuine! But I make no claim that it is. The condition of the bike as an unrestored example is simply amazing. there is some pitting on the chrome in places and some signs wear. but nothing on it looks to be 36 years old. it's remarkable.

This bike will only go up in value and I'm only selling it as it's too good to chop up; I like to customise old and new machinery. and this doesn't deserve that. I have 12 motorcycles at the moment so need to make some room for me to focus on the projects as well as put some money towards them.

As I said. it's 36 years old. so there will always be things that need attention. one of the things it does need is the left carb float sorting. it currently floods. this is because the bike has been parked up on display for ages and was probably left on the side stand. The bike does still start and ride. and boy does she sound and smell good; everyone loves a 2 stroke!

The only thing to me that does look like its had attention is the tank. it's too good to be the original patina!
