Description

1978 GS750 for sale. This is the C model which isbasically the same as the 77 B model apart from the available colors, he always on headlight, ainted side covers to match tank, and metal trim on the seat. It is not the EC model.Clear title in my name. Comes with original owner's manual and a service manual.

Recent service:

  • The caliper was disassembled last fall, leaned, nd reassembled with genuine Suzuki seals
  • NOS Suzuki brake piston and new EBC organic brake pads installed with less than 100 miles on it. The front brake on the C model has the larger diameter bore compared to the EC model. The cylinder bore was very clean and in great shape and the front rotor is excellent.
  • Fresh oil and Suzuki filter.
  • New NGK plugs.
  • The bike has less than 600 miles on newtires and tubes.
  • Battery is current as of two years ago and has been on a float charger.
This bike is very original and as far as I can tell, 00% stock, part from the wear items I mentioned above. It is ready to ride.

Condition:

  • The paint on the tank, ide covers and rear cowl is original and in excellent condition with just a bit of patina you would expect on a well-loved 38 year old bike. There are no dents in the tank.
  • Chrome pipes are solid and chrome is in very good condition. There is a shallow dent on the top of the right muffler (looks like maybe a tool fell off the seat onto it), ut no other dents that I can see.
  • Chrome on wheels is excellent.
  • Front forks have very little of the discoloration/oxidation you typically see on the aluminum fork lowers of these eight valve GS. The fork tubes look excellent.
  • Turn signals have excellent chrome and are scratch/scuff free.
  • Mirrors are scuff free and have the original anti-vibration plugs.
  • Engine cases are very nice, amage free and are free of leaks - a bit of the clearcoat is missing on the engine cases which is typical for the age.
  • The frame is straight and true, and paint on frame is very good.
  • The bike runs and shifts well and all electrics work. It could use a general tune up.
  • Seat is excellent and rip free.
  • Gauges look very good and clear. It does have a slow moving tach and speedometer but they are functional andthe odometer and trip clock count accurate miles.
  • Frame and engine numbers are correct for model-year (Suzuki did not match frame and engine numbers). Title matches frame and is clear and in my name.

In sum, his is an exceptionallynice base for a rider or to bring it up toconcours quality.I would personally leave it in its original untouched condition if I were going to keep it.

Pictures are from the last nice day of the year in November 2015. I took the bike out this Memorial Day weekend. Bike has been under cover in heated garage all winter and it looks like it has been treated very well in its history. I was told by the last owner that he purchased from the original owner. I’ve had several of these bikes and am very familiar with their quirks -this is the nicest I've had. I'm selling because I'd like room in my garage for something else.

Bike must be paid for in full before it leaves my garage. If after you come and inspectityou decide it is not as I’ve described you will receive a full refund of your deposit. I’m convinced you will want it.If you have questions, end me an email and I will respond to you or leave your phone number. No exporters please. Thanks
