Up for sale is a 2008 Suzuki C109RT that I’ve had since new. I purchased the bike in 2010 and currently has 35000 miles. This is a great running bike. The engine is the same as the M109but re-tuned for more torque. This bike pulls like a freight train. As stated it is a used bike and has some small blemishes, lease see photo. Because of the Power Commander piggy backing off the computer the Fuel Injector light does stay on. After the upgrades I had the light checked out and the shop confirmed nothing is wrong with the bike. The bike was professionally dyno tuned at a local shop, van Steel Performance. Tires have about 60% tread left. The cup holder shown in the pictures does not come with the bike however the handle bar pouches will stay with the bike. One of the saddle bag quick disconnect tabs is broken however it will still snap with existing tab. Local pickup or I’ll be available for shipping, t the new owner’s expense. Fly out and I’ll pick you up at the airport and you can ride it home. Check, oney order or cashier’s check must clear before the bike is released. Clear title! Please contact me for any questions and thanks for looking. Bike is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks!
Cycle Worlds review:
Never in the field of human endeavor has any motorcycle so successfully loafed at 100 mph. Even at high speeds, he 109RT engine sounds like a Continental 220 radial out of a Stearman biplane at idle.
Though the 109R doesn’t have the largest engine here, t’s still a very big Twin, nd it topped all others in quarter-mile acceleration and speed. This thing flat moves out, nd does it without a lot of high-revving histrionics. It’s like your linebacker friend in high school who used to calm people down by reaching over and giving them a quick squeeze on the back of the neck. Laconic, ith no fuss, t seems not to work very hard to achieve results.
Popular Mechanics review:
Suzuki's new C109R is an unapologetically mammoth-engined motorcycle with a 1,783cc V-twin that, ccording to Suzuki, rides itself on having the largest cylinders of any road-going gasoline-powered vehicle. A dry weight of 787 lbs makes the C109R about as close to a two-wheeled Hummer as you're going to get.
At the heart of this bike is a 109 cubic inch V-twin derived from Suzuki's M109R power cruiser. The re-tuned engine puts out 117 hp and even more torque than the M109R, pting for improved low-end grunt over high-revving power. The result is smoother but slightly slower acceleration. A smaller bore diameter within the dual throttle valve system enhances low-to-mid range power delivery
Even at idle, he engine produces enough torque that you don't need to twist the throttle in order to accelerate off the line. Just give the right grip a tiny nudge, nd the resulting acceleration is so strong that it's difficult to keep from breaking the speed limit. The C109 is a surprisingly swift ride.
