DESCRIPTION & VIDEOThis rare and much sought after early edition 1978 Suzuki GS1000E has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life ?ˆ“ the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 16810 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is complete & standard apart from the engine crash bars & seat which has been built up to nearly twice its normal thickness!?BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean discs. calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes are straight with good chrome. Mudguard is solid & very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look great. Fuel tank. tail piece& side panels are near perfect& tank is squeaky clean inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is original & solid. Seat base is in very good condition throughout & just needs recovering to bring it back to standard. Chain guard is tidy. Shox are damping fine. The engine is cosmetically very clean ?ˆ“ When we fitted a good battery & fed it fresh fuel it starts & runs like a Swiss watch. See the video attached. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

WE HAVE GOT THE ORIGINAL AMERICAN CERTIFICATE OF TITLE

We will provide proof that VAT & Duty are paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT?ˆ™d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture. The American Title will do this.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration & the current fee for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you a tax disc with your age related registration number.
