The bike has been sitting for eight months after a minor accident (details below). I?ˆ™ve had no time to spend working on it so it?ˆ™s up for sale as is. I tried starting it recently but found it doesn?ˆ™t reliably start after sitting idle.
As you can see in the photos the bike is in overall clean condition. The last owner reconditioned it including an engine rebuild and paint job. Apart from the recent accident. the bike itself has not suffered very much wear and tear. It had been stored in a garage for 12 years prior to the last owner buying it (hence the relatively low mileage) and working on it.
I came off the bike in a service station at very slow speed. It sustained some damage to the right belly pan fairing. right side fairing. mirror. indicator and front break caliper. The replacement parts I bought for the repairs are included in the sale. My intention was to do the repairs myself but circumstances have left me with no time to do this. The replacement mirror and indicator are both new. The spare belly pan fairing I bought was from a breaker and is in need of some sanding and painting as it does not match the colour of the bike. The replacement break caliper is not new. I bought it from a parts supplier on ebay who guaranteed it as fully working. The right side fairing only needs sanding and painting as it did not suffer any cracks. The rest of the bike is in good condition given it?ˆ™s age. Though. there are the normal signs of surface corrosion in places you would expect on a bike of this age. The tires are fine with plenty of tread. I?ˆ™ve also included a new clutch cable as I felt it needed replacing prior to the accident.
The bike was last MOT?ˆ™d in July 2013 with no advisories. It is currently on SORN. I?ˆ™ve got all the paperwork including the last owner?ˆ™s most recent MOT. There is also a Haynes Service and Repair Manual to go with the bike.
