I bought this bike from a guy who bought it with the intention of refurbishment after someone had left it standing for 10 years.
I've stripped the frame. had it repaired (Pin holes in one tube) and painted it. The Engine has been cleaned. Oil flushed through using high quality 10w 40 semi synthetic 8litres through the cam shaft/valve areas so all oil ways are clean. Strainer cleaned and filter changed. Carbs stripped and cleaned. all bearings (Head. swing arm. wheels) replaced. New brake pads. pistons. seals. lines front and back. Master cylinder rebuild on front. Electrical system sorted. New seat (Custom made). Stainless steel side panels. Bespoke rear end. tanks stripped and painted. New clutch (Steel. Friction plates and heavy duty springs). Front forks drained. cleaned springs. new fluids. spacer inserted for stiffer action. New fork seals. Water proof electrical connectors. side mounted Harley lockable ignition switch. Separate oil warning light and neutral wired into clock back light (I know. daft).
The bike is a good running machine. For MOT I was advised to improve number plate mount. This bike rode well for 12 miles to MOT station. It can be tested. I have no qualms about that. in fact I think a test ride is essential (so long as cash is in my hand returnable if you don't like it).
This is an ideal bike to MOT and ride or project start.
I was going to classic race it but I'm away to South America for 12 months and on my return. I'll ride my blade and maybe work on another bike. My friend who has done the welding and panel shaping is off on holiday with his good lady and I'd like to chuck a bit of cash his way as I couldn't have done this bike without him.
I've spent a bit. lol. A labour of love: (Bike cost me £500 ish). currently SORN and I have log book. Manual. Remainder of gasket set (my skills stopped at compression testing and valve clearance)

What this bike needs is a new owner who will sort the exhaust out. increase jetting on carbs or replace the air box (I don't have one) change tyres (I do not know how old they are but wouldn't go round a track on them. despite them looking OK!!!!!)
If you are interested. come over. take your time looking over the bike and we'll have a brew. I've tools for you to do a proper check over.
Gear box is smother than my 1995 fire blades.
Please note. After 2nd November if no credible offers or sale. I'm putting it into storage.
