Suzuki X7 250

I bought this German import a few years ago from a chap in Biggleswade to restore but I have too many other projects so it needs to go.

The engine ran fine when I bought it and would probably start now but three of the four exhaust nuts are sheared. The engine turns over with good compression.

It has covered 31. 07 KM (just over 20. 00 miles). which I would believe to be genuine.

The original paint is good apart from a small chip on the tank. which would be easy to touch up as the colour is a flat blue. and some of the decal lines. which again could be touched up or easily replaced.

The tank is clean inside with no rust.

The exhausts have some minor marks and light pitting but the front mudguard is good.

There is some very light pitting to the forks but no sign of oil leakage.

The frame has slight rust and will need re-painting.

The seat base has some surface rust but is solid. The foam seems fine and I will include a replacement cover that I purchased in preparation to restore.

The only things I can see missing are the side stand and right hand mirror. It even has the original mudguard extension. which I have never seen before!

There are two keys which fit all locks.

It will need a dating certificate (from VJMC or Suzuki UK) and an MoT to register at a cost of £55. I have the DVLA forms.

The reserve is very reasonable and less than some of the rusty wrecks I have seen on eBay fetching ridiculous money. This is a very easy restoration and. if it does not reach the reserve. I will restore it myself.
