Recently sold another bike to buy parts for modifiying and. typically. the gearbox has just let go. Would love to keep it and do some more work on it as I had plans. but need to get mobile again as soon as possible so I'm selling up towards a replacement. Just recently had some work done too: The throttle body has been replaced after a sensor failure on the old one. and they have then been balanced. Valve clearances have been checked. New Organic EBC pads on the front. the caliper sliding pins regreased. and pistons cleaned. New front sprocket fitted and the chain and rear have done very little mileage. probably only around 300 miles or so. New Delkvic radiator just fitted. New Motobatt battery. As well as that it has not long had the forks stripped. cleaned and rebuilt. The original springs have been replaced with Hagon progressive springs. and the rear shock has been swapped for a Hagon unit with damping adjustment. Renthal bars fitted. Pyramid Fenda Extenda fitted. EBC front discs and a wavy rear disc fitted. Viper end can with removable baffle. though it could do with a good polish as the finish isn't brilliant after some winter use. Removed the pillion pegs and have a Harris exhaust hanger fitted. Ermax solo cowl fitted rather than the pillion pad. The old undertray has been cut and an Ermax undertray with integrated LED indicators has been fitted. I have since had to fit a metal plate to the grab rail mounts to hang the number plate as the undertray had no room for a full size plate. The front and rear wheel bearings were replaced about 600 miles ago. as were the swingarm and shock linkage bearings. One of the lines for the oil cooler has been replaced as it sprung a leak. it's a full hose now whereas before part of it was a metal pipe which had just corroded away. Scottoiler under the pillion pad. it is not connected at the moment after replacing the throttle body and just has to be attached to one of the vacum pick-ups. Some of the finish has held up well as I have always used FS365 after cleaning. and I also used ACF50 when approaching winter. There are still some of the usual cheap nuts and bolts that have a bit of corrosion. The front mudguard has a slighlty larger bolt to one side as I had to drill out a seized bolt when stripping the forks. The right side of the swingarm has the thread from the screw that held the hugger inside as the head snapped off. I drilled a hole through hugger and have used a tie wrap to hold it in place. The part of the hugger that attaches to the middle of the swingarm has cracked too. but it is still held in place quite well. Paint on the swingarm has flaked at a few places. most noticeably towards the rear. along with some on the wheels. There is some damage to the front after a lock up had the bike going down the road on the right hand side. which happened a couple of months after I bought it. The fork leg has a scrape on the bottom. as has a bit of the mudguard. headlight. flyscreen. and the front brake fluid resevoir. The resevoir itself is fine and still seals properly. The tank has a small dent and a few slight scratches to the paint as well. I also have the pillion pad. rear pegs and hangerss. The original end can has gone as it had to be cut down for the Viper slip on. Also have pretty much every receipt for parts bought or work that has been done. Comes with the 2 original keys. alphadot certification. log book. owners manual. and V5. Will need transported. Does run. but is losing oil and stuck in 3rd or 4th gear.
