SUZUKI DR650 SE MOTORBIKE

Welcome to the auction of my much loved and quite rare DR650. I bought this bike last December. with the intention of carrying out a full restoration over the winter. However. it took longer than anticipated and I felt that summer was going to end before I had finished. Therefore. I ended up giving the bike to a mechanic to finish it to a useable standard and to check the work that I had done. I was going to complete the restoration this coming winter but due to sudden unforseen financial circumstances. I regrettably now need to sell the bike. The work that has been done to date is as follows: - the forks have been rebuilt with new seals etc and re-gassed - the frame and swing arm have been powder coated - the shock has been stripped. cleaned. painted and re-built as have the swing arm linkages - the wiring loom has been tidied with any broken or damaged wires or connectors replaced - the brakes have been completed re-built with new seals etc - the motorbike also has a new bike tyre. a full MOT and 6 months tax. Still to be done are the seat cover as it has tears and is generally grubby (see photo). the rear wheel is also grubby but being an alloy rim. this would clean up with some work. Some of the decals on the plastics are peeling and in general. cosmetically it could do with some tidying. On the whole. mechanically. it is now pretty much in top condition.
