I Purchased this bike back in Aug 2009  and throughout that time I have totally rebuilt her to a standard as seen in photo?ˆ™s (Not concours). due to certain parts not being available and having to use aftermarket parts

 

Rebuild comprised mostly NOS or Suzuki used parts. as example from Robinsons Foundary. Crooks. Discount Suzuki. Alpha sports. PlenterNZ and eBay etc. . plus other serviceable parts and I have spent a lot of money getting her to this stage.

 

I will try to list below what work has been done to the best I can. (I also have most of receipts for all the parts bought) She is taxed and mot?ˆ™d till June/July 2015. and has only covered 24  miles since re-build just over 2 year?ˆ™s ago and still needs to be run in. reason I have advertised as ?ˆ?Spares or repair?ˆ™ as on last run for MOT?ˆ™ing she developed an oil leak in the CCI feed which looks to be at the banjo connection ?ˆ™ possible sealing washer?ˆ™. I have not attempted to fix as I would prefer new owner to do this which makes them aware of this issue and able to confirm it is sealed.

 

Although I have only managed to accomplish a low mileage since rebuild she has ran faultless. pulled well in all gears. I will be sorry to see her go.

 

Some of the work done is listed below:

 

Front wheel: Rim. spokes. hub and Speedo drive in good order. nbsp; new tyre. new wheel bearings. Brake Caliper overhauled with new seals. new pads and new brake hose ?ˆ?aftermarket?ˆ™. mudguard still in good shape and solid but does have a couple of minor dents. chrome is good.

 

 

Rear wheel: new rim. new spokes ?ˆ?aftermarket?ˆ™. new tyre. new inner tube new wheel bearings. hub in good order. new chain and sprockets. new brake shoes and cable. mudguard still solid. chrome has lifted and pitted in certain areas. see photo?ˆ™.

 

Petrol tank and side panels: stripped & re-painted in (Maui Blue) by ?ˆ?classicbike Northwest?ˆ™ new stripes. tank badges in good order. New fuel lines. new in-line filters. petcock overhauled with new seals.

 

Seat: In good order. Base still solid and no tears in cover.

 

Frame: Stripped & repainted. new front foot rests and new rubber pegs. rear pegs in good order. swinging arm bushes in good order. new  grease nipple.  New Steering head steel balls. New steering stem. steering lock restrictor broken easy fix if required. new shock absorbers. repaired shock absorbers thread mounts. new side stand complete with spring and stopper. centre stand has been replaced complete with new spring and stopper.  

 

Nuts & Bolts: Mostly replaced with new or reworked to good order and recoated (Zinc Plated).

 

Clocks: I have stripped and cleaned the clocks. and replaced new perspex. replaced all the bulbs. I have also fitted new Suzuki Speedo cable.

 

Switchgear etc: all have been stripped and cleaned and all the wiring checked. New handle bar and grips. new Suzuki throttle cable. clutch cable in good order. new aftermarket mirrors. Indicators are original and in good order.

 

Headlamp & Bowl: Glass and Bowl in good order. Bowl rechromed.

 

Front Brake master cylinder: Overhauled with new reservoir: new seals and new piston/cup set.

 

Silencers: Would recommend replacing in time. chrome finish still quite good with very little surface rust ?ˆ?hardly noticeable?ˆ™ R. H exhaust has been scraped underneath but not seen. No holes. splits or leaks and still solid. downpipes solid and chrome still good although some corrosion to inside position.

 

Electrics:  All wiring checked new bullit connections where possible. new horn ?ˆ?aftermarket?ˆ™. new ignition coil. new flasher unit. battery 2 year old and still good condition. replacement used magneto.

   

Forks: Tubes in good order no chips. new seals fitted. dust covers in good condition. Headlamp ears rechromed.

 

Carbs: cleaned. overhauled and reset. new seals. new jets and new air box hose.

 

Engine: totally stripped and rebuilt:-

Piston and rings in excellent condition. no scoring in barrels.

Cylinder head bolts overhauled and zinc plated.

Crankshaft rebuilt by SEP ?ˆ?Kegworth?ˆ™.

 

Engine casing: Casing has been replaced due to over tightening drain plug and causing a fracture with a good quality used part ?ˆ?like new?ˆ™ sourced from America. new seals. new stainless steel bolts. engine bolts overhauled and zinc plated

 

Clutch: Plates in excellent condition with minimal wear.

 

Gearbox: completely overhauled. gears. shafts and selector forks in good order. new Suzuki parts i. e. Seals. Gaskets. Cam gear assembly. Neutral switch. Kick start and gear change springs fitted.
