1981 Suzuki GS 850 - Off White, New Battery and Choke, Fair Condition

Up for sale:1981 Suzuki GS850. I drove it down from the finger lakes region(Upstate NY) over the summer back in august and it was fine for the most part. so the thing rides. I bought it from someone who had it garage kept for a few years and I believe he was the second owner. The odometer says around 3800 miles which I'm thinking is not correct. I purchased it a few months ago and decided the bike is just too big for me. My loss is your gain. The few minor issues I encountered:- A problem that only happens every so often is that the bike doesn't downshift when I'm at a dead stop. It seemed like I had to downshift before coming to a stop. It didn't happen every time but it happens often enough that is an 'issue'. Someone told me it is easily fixable(some mechanism needs to be replaced) though I can't confirm or deny that. Shifting into any gear while riding is no problem at all. - The clutch needs to be pulled extra tight. and pulled up in order for the bike to start. but it always starts. Again. a mechanic told me it might be a starter mechanism or something like that. - Sometimes I smell a slight burning odor. Its an old bike so I just assume this is norm. - Not sure if this is a 'problem' but its worth noting that the title states GS850 and the side panels say 1100. I was told that someone most likely used different side panels although I cant confirm that either. I am a novice with this stuff so I may not be able to answer questions but I will do my best.
