Suzuki V Strom DL650AL (with ABS)
I bought this bike brand new in June 2012 for £7200 so it does not need it's first MOT until June next year. It has always been garaged at night and very rarely ridden in the rain unless I have been caught out in it.
Current mileage is 9440 miles but may go up slightly if we get a nice day any time soon which is unlikely!! The two services it has had were both done at the Suzuki dealer I bought the bike from. The next service is due at 12000 miles.
The bike is completely standard. The only extra I had put on when I bought it was the black Suzuki hand guards which really help to keep your gloves bone dry. (One of them has a bit of a scratch on it)
There are a few very very minor little scratches here and there but nothing that could be seen when I tried to take photos of them. They were too tiny.
I put a new rear tyre on the bike a couple of weeks ago but the front one is still fine for at least another year I would guess.
The top box in these pictures in no longer on the bike. I currently have another Givi topbox on the bike which I may sell to the buyer if we can agree a separate price for it but am quite happy to keep it.
The bike obviously runs perfectly in every way as you would expect. I recently took a short tour to Luxembourg with two friends on 1000cc bikes and I kept up with them with little effort. It is very comfortable on long trips and handles wonderfully. These bikes are renowned for having amazing balance as you will see if you read any online review and I have to say that I have found this to be very true.
If you ride this bike hard you will get about 48-50miles to the gallon but on a recent trip to Ireland I got 79miles to the gallon as I was not hammering the bike at all.
