1999 SUZUKI SV 650 SX YELLOW

For sale is my Suzuki SV650SX.

I have tried to be as honest as possible in my description so that you know exactly what you are bidding on. If I have missed anything out then please message me. I believe the attached photos accurately reflect the condition but I will happily send additional photos etc on request. I have owned the bike since January 2010 and it has never let me down.

The bike has been in regular use as a commuting/touring machine but a change in work about 2 years ago now means I have to commute by car. Since this time the bike has been used infrequently and is now being sold to assist with a house move.

The bike is light and easy to ride and would make a perfect year round commuter or ideal first big bike.

It is very economical. has been ridden considerately and doesn't show any signs of having been thrashed before I got it i. e. no jumping out of gear etc.  

I put six months tax on it from 01. 11. 14 and it was MOT?ˆ™d on 29. 10. 14. It is therefore offered with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax.

I bought the bike with a raft of service paperwork. but having ridden 100 miles home from the midlands. the bag had not made it back with me. I have retained paperwork since the point of purchase and so the bike is for sale with a partial service history.   

Since purchase I have had a Scottoiler (V system) fitted along with Oxford hotgrips and a larger Zero Gravity screen. The original screen has been retained and is included in the sale.   

The bike is obviously showing some signs of wear and tear which are only to be expected. but is in genuinely good condition when considering its use as a commuter.

The fairings are all in good condition and have not been waxed for the photos. just washed with ?ˆ?muc off?ˆ™.

The bike is made up of original parts and has not been tweaked or messed with other than the add ons mentioned in the description.

The lower sections of the front forks are showing some signs of fatigue (expected). but the seals and upper section are clean and the forks work smoothly with no leaking.

Some of the servicing has been done by a local garage for cash and so no paperwork exists for this. The bike has brand new oil and filter as of 28. 10. 14 but could probably do with the brakes cleaning. When I took the bike for it's MOT the front brake was sticking a little. This is most likely to be due to the fact that it had stood for a while beforehand. It is very much rideable though.

The linkage arm for the rear brake is showing signs of corrosion. due to it being very close to the ground. It remains structurally sound.

The exhaust system is all ok with no damage.

The front face of the engine casing is missing most of the paintwork from motorway miles.

The wheel rims have some chipped paint. but overall are fine. The discs are showing some small minor rusting. but are straight. true with plenty of life in both them and the pads.

The rear shock has a few bits of surface rust but is well protected by a plastic baffle and is therefore not an area of concern.

The rear tyre has only done approx 300 miles. Not sure about the front. but it doesn?ˆ™t need changing.

I bought a new Bosch battery in January 12 which is still strong and has been trickle charged with an oximiser.

I have a Haynes Manual for the bike which I will include in the sale.

This is a bargain bike for the money and I hope the winning bidder gets as much from it as I have.
