SUZUKI GS500 E 1998 S REG, GREAT RUNNER, MECHANICALLY SOUND - CHEAPEST ON EBAY!

 Suzuki GS500E 1998 'S' Reg Suzuki GS500E in Red / Black - original condition with sensible modifications. 48794 genuine miles. This bike is mechanically sound. having purchased it back in March of this year for ??695 to use while my ZX9R was off the road having a gearbox overhaul.  It has been a reliable runner throughout its life with me and although high mileage. has never missed a beat. In my ownership the bike has wanted for nothing. having had around ??200 spent on it before passing onto new owner. These bikes were used by training schools until recently and it's no wonder why - these bikes are dependable and reliable work horses that just keep going!Some recent work that has been carried out: When I purchased it from the previous owner (a small bike dealer). he had managed to snap the Tacho drive and there was oil weeping from the rocker cover gasket. Both have been replaced and the speedo functions fully. During my ownership the chain had seen better days as it wasn't great when I picked it up so that was replaced for a new Gold chain which always cleans up fantastically. The front brake pads have been changed and the front brake calliper has been overhauled. using fresh brake fluid and the rusty rounded master cylinder screws have been replaced with shiny new ones. When I picked up the bike the tank was vibrating against the frame as the front rubber mount was missing. instead having some inner tube shoved in to dampen this. A new rubber has been installed so the tank no longer vibrates like it used to. Both tyre valves had been replaced as it had been found out they were very perished and cracked with age.
