1976 SUZUKI RE5 !!! ROTARY POWERED ENGINE WITH NO RESERVE PRICE

1976 Suzuki RE5 with 13. 5k miles. Last time on the road is 1992. The bike has been in dry storage since then in Maine. The original owner had put into storage facility and ended up forfeiting the bike for storage costs. The bike has sat in that same facility since then.

This is a super rare bike. Suzuki put a lot of time and $$$ to design the Rotary engine motorcycle. It never caught on as Suzuki had hoped and pulled the plug after a 3 year run.

This bike is the touring model and has all the genuine Suzuki Touring components. I believe that these were dealer installed options. Have original keys to all storage components. If any of the RE5 experts want to comment on the Touring option I will post to the ad.

 The bike has not been started. It spins sluggishly over by the kick starter. I have never seen one of these bikes not much less attempted to kick one over.   You definitely hear it as it passes the compression (stroke?) I am not sure what you call it in a rotary engine.

This is a complete bike with only 2 things missing. The bike is missing the windshield and possibly an emblem on the right side of the motor. Bike has some surface rust on various components. As the pics show the side covers are excellent. The tank is real nice and straight. It has some bubbling on the lf side of the emblem and the inside is rust stained. This would clean out with EvapoRust. Wheels are straight. The bike doesn?ˆ™t show any signs of ever been down. There is a little damage on the left side of the fairing. I believe it was a storage issue. The pipes have surface rust on them but are solid. Look at the pics of the pipes from the ends as well as the cooling fins from the front. Original tools are under the seat.

The bike will be sold with a New Hampshire state registration and bill of sale. NH does not issue titles after 15 yrs. A NH resistration and bill of sale gets you a title and registration in any state.
