For auction. my beautiful. gorgeous and utterly superb Hayabusa. In beautiful blue/black. it certainly looks the business and turns heads regularly - in Norfolk recently. I parked her up and 3 people approached me to enthuse over her - that's 3 separate people. in half an hour. She's totally reliable. comfortable (I'm 5'8") and so easy to love. Okay. I gotta stop talking this way! She has to go. unfortunately. and I've beaten myself up over the last two weeks. telling myself she has to go. then changing my mind. Problem is. I'm after a more suitable bike for an old fogie (I'm 66) and though I find the Busa a superb touring machine (yes really) my wife has mentioned France. Touring and Shopping all in the same breath. So. alas. I am going for a BMW something. maybe a R100RS. which I've owned before and really loved. until a w*man drove out of a side road in front of me and wrote it off. I've had several other BMW's too (R1100S. 100RT. K100RS) and always miss the luxury and luggage-carrying capacity of them. So. a dilemma really. I DO NOT WANT TO SELL THE BUSA. but I can't afford two bikes. My heart says keep the Busa. my head (and my wife) says get the BMW. The Busa therefore is being sacrificed to make way for a BMW. and that is the only reason I'm selling. Okay. that's the reasoning. now a little about the bike:She's gorgeous. Totally reliable. Economical too (I reckon about 50mpg. and I don't hang about - don't tell the missus). Doesn't burn oil. and the oil is clean. Starts first time. every time. Handles beautifully. Can be slung about through the twisties. Absolutely an experience. If you're looking at this. you know about Busas. She is MOT'd until May 2015I spent ??500 on the last MOT for two new tyres. a new battery. new brake pads. She is ready to go. I have fitted bar risers. These are very discreet. you wouldn't know they're fitted. She was comfortable before. but these give a tad more comfort for me. as I have a tummy problem after surgery some years ago. You can remove them in 5 minutes' flat if you want. She has rear bobbins fitted. You get two paddock stands with the bike (she has no centre stand). She has crash bungs fitted. She has a Powerbronze riders seat fitted. You get the original as well. She has a Pyramid smoked screen fitted. New tyres (May)New battery (May)New front pads (May)I have fitted a Renntec rear carrier and a top box. These are easily removable if you want. You get the original rear hump (black). You get a Haynes manual. I have fitted a battery charge warning light. This is on the dash. it can be seen in Picture 8. It shows red in the Picture. but when the engine is running. it shows green to indicate the battery is charging. I fitted this in May because the old battery was dying and I was recommended to fit an indicator to show the charge state. It works very well and gives peace of mind. It is easy to remove if you want. I have fitted Suzuki valve caps. front and rear. Okay. bling already! There were no advisories on the MOT. She is taxed until August 2015. but I guess the new Tax Rules invalidate that. Tax is cheap though. 26000 miles on the clock. This will be added to slightly. as I use the bike when I can. I never deliberately take it out in rain. I was caught once in a slight shower. She has never been raced or dropped. This is the 185mph speedo. Don't ask me if she will do more than that - I'm 66 remember (although I can report easy treble-figure-speeds. but obviously not in this country. officer). I am told she will do 100mph in first gear. I don't know if she will. because I never hammer my bikes. Can't think of much else to say. A superb machine for a loving owner. Obviously. I would be pleased to answer any questions. She has had some interest from outside Ebay. so is advertised elsewhere. I am looking for around ??3000 (or more) but good luck to anyone who wishes to bid. Test rides can be arranged. or viewing. but I would insist on full cash and a look at your insurance first. Bike based in Suffolk. Thank you!UPDATE: As I've seen a BMW I like (want) and my garage only holds one bike. 3 bags of coal. a blow-up doll and a Suffolk Punch. I really would like a quick sale. Therefore. I have included a BUY IT NOW price for anyone after a Busa. UPDATED UPDATE:To answer a few questions I have received. so that people don't ask the same questions again:1. There is not a thorough service history on this machine. It has all old MOT paperwork. if I recall. 2. There were no advisories on the last MOT (May)3. The previous battery died. there is a brand new battery now fitted. and a charge warning indicator has been installed. It works fantastically well. and green is a good colour. It makes you look really cool when it reflects in your visor and is more exclusive than those Chav blue lights. 4. The risers do make the bike more comfortable. but it was comfortable before. and much more comfortable in standard trim than my old Blackbirds. The risers can be removed in 10 minutes if you're not happy and the bike returned to standard. 5. The Renntec rack cannot be seen very well in the photos. because THERE IS A TOPBOX FITTED on it. The box can be removed in 5 minutes and the Renntec rack will then be miraculously visible. 6. It comes with the Powerbronze riders seat fitted. but you do get the original one AS WELL7. No. it doesn't overheat. It runs and rides perfectly. even in Summer. The engine is perfect. 8. Summer is a season that in the UK is known locally as 'Wassat yellow thing in t'sky then?'9. No I do not arrange finance. I am not a dealer. I will accept cash on collection. a cheque that will be cleared before collection. a chest full of coins to the agreed amount. or a Paypal payment to the correct figure (though this has fees associated. so not a Number One choice). I will NOT accept - and do not be offended if I refuse - your bike in part exchange. easy instalments. an exchange for a holiday. or a car. I am not keen. either. on a pub crawl. a pool table. or 25 prime sheep. 10. I will not deliver 740 miles away. I am 66 years old. with arthritis. a urostomy. high blood pressure and a dodgy cholesterol level. I can ride it for about 70 miles. 11. No. I am not interested in your wife. 12. 30 years ago. I might have been. 13. But 30 years ago. I would have been too busy riding a Hayabusa14. Yes. the bike is a good one. the oil is sparkling clean and I don't hammer the machine. I do about 60 miles a week on it.
