1980 Suzuki GS1100E motorcycle- very nice example

THis is a very nice example of the King of the quarter mile back in 1980- the Suzuki GS1100E.  Low mileage bike that was last on the road in the early 1990's. I bought it late last summer as a project for the winter. The bike sat for 20 yrs- mostly under cover I believe.  The paint had some fading and the clear coat was spotty so it has all new paint- 2 part Poly U. with OEM correct new graphics.  Inside of the tank is clean.  Aside from the paint job ( the frame was not repainted) the following is what has been recently done to the bike to make it road ready and running very well. New rear tail light lense- it was badly crackedSeat recoveredNew front fork seals and oilLeft side controls replaced with OEMBrake systems rebuilt New choke cableNew grips and mirrorsAll electrical checked out- contacts cleaned and all workingSwing arm bushing greased along with wheel bearingsCarbs cleaned and sync'dClutch. oil pump. ignition sys. all checked out in good cond. Valves checked- new cover gasketCables lubed and adjusted.      Tires are in very good condition- donot know how old they are- no cracking. The bike runs very smooth- its tight. the suspension works well. The Tach is a bit sticky below 3k rpm. slow to respond. I think there is old lube thats getting stiff in it.  Works fine above 3k. Speedo works fine and is accurate.  Very strong engine- no unusual noises.  I have been around these old GS1100's most of my life and this is number 4 that I have recently gone through. Other customers have been pleased with the bikes I have gone through.  Its ready to ride and enjoy . Clean title.  Please note - if the bike does not sell at this auction it will not be relisted.
