1995 SUZUKI DS 80 For sale: A 1995 Suzuki DS80 off-road motorcycle. The motorcycle is in excellent condition and runs perfect. Description: The Suzuki DS80 is a 2 stroke oil injected off road motorcycle. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. The current crop of small motorcycles are nearly all heavier 4 stroke machines. The quality from this era really seems much better than the newer machines. Don't confuse this motorcycle with a high-strung motocross machine. These were built to run forever with very little basic maintenance. No need for new rings every 10 hours. This motorcycle would make a great step between a 50cc machine and the larger motocross bikes. There is plenty of punch and it hauls me around the yard very well. An adult could use this as a pit bike as well or as in my case a perfect starter machine for a small adult/ female. Condition/ History: I purchased the motorcycle from the original owner approximately 10 years ago so that my wife could learn how to ride a motorcycle. The motorcycle still had the mold nubs on the tires when I purchased it. She used it around our yard for one summer then the gas was drained and it was put into the barn. I'm selling my house with storage and this machine sees no use so it's time to go. I pulled the motorcycle out of the barn a couple weeks ago. put gas in it and she fired right up. It didn't seem to idle well so I replaced the original carburetor with a brand new OEM carb direct from Suzuki. See pics. I used all OEM parts in the change even including clamps. The machine now runs perfect. The added bonus of a new carb includes fresh seals. jets and a leak free float. If you are familiar with older motorcycles this is worth its weight in gold as there will be no fiddling. I worked out the final adjustments today. The carb only required a slight turn of the air screw to set the idle perfect. The only cosmetic flaw is the silencer and back fender. During the course of learning 2 stroke power and a manual clutch she flipped it up and bent the silencer also scuffing the edge of the fender. The bike didn't go completely over. The subframe and the fender are still the same aside from the scuff on the leading edge. The motorcycle is very clean and still has the original tires. There are very few hours on the motorcycle. This would be a great option for many years of service at roughly 1/3 the price of a new comparable motorcycle. Shipping: I believe that shipping would be cost prohibitive on such an inexpensive item. I live approximately 5 miles north of Coldwater Michigan 49036. Pick-up is the responsibility of the buyer. I would be willing to meet up with the buyer within a reasonable distance if the buyer would be willing to cover fuel costs. Please work out any details prior to bidding. Payment: Payment should be cash in person. If you wish to use some other payment please work that out with me before bidding. The transaction should be complete within 7 days of the auction end. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Good luck bidding and thanks for your interest!!!
