For sale is what I believe to be a 1980 (not certain so if someone can ID model year for sure let me know) Suzuki PE 175. As you can see its going to require some TLC to get it to its former glory so if you are fan of this bike this could be a great winter project to get ready for some trail riding or racing in the spring. I will go into detail about the bike below but feel free to ask any questions you would like. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for looking!
Frame: JS1P611A582101057
Motor: PE175-209797
Bike Info:
Motor: Has good compression. I was surprised how much for a 175cc motor. Starts in 1-2 kicks every time. Kick starter is good as well. Carb will need to be cleaned because the floats stick from time to time. I am sure its because of gunk in the carb bowl. Suspension: Forks will probably need fresh seals and oil. Forks tubes have some spots of rust in between the triples but travel area is ok. Rear shocks have dampening buts shafts have rust so if you plan to race it you may want to think about a set of aftermarket shocks. For trail riding you may be ok. Exhaust: pipe and silencer are stock and are in very nice condition. A few small dings on the pipe but overall very nice. With some sanding and fresh paint should look very nice. Plastic/ Bodywork: tank has a 3 inch crack on the top by the cap. If you plan on racing it there is a plastic epoxy available specifically for plastic tanks that works very well. Then you could wet sand (see pic of where I lightly sanded to get an idea of color underneath)and install new decals or put a tank cover on it. If you were doing a full on resto tanks pop up for this bike on ebay and are fairly inexpensive. Side covers are faded but new ones are still available through Suzuki. front and back fenders look original and could be wet sanded and polished. Front light and plastic housing is missing but new ones are available through DC Plastics. Seat cover is original and is not ripped. Wheels - rims are in excellent shape with no cracks or gouges. I think this is because the tires have never been changed. I am 99% sure these are the original tires. Drive - rear sprocket is new but chain has surface rust and should be replaced. Frame : I do not see any repairs on the frame and the engine cradle tubes are nit crushed underneath. Kick stand is intactControls: handlebars and levers/perches look good and work properly.SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - I have several Over sea's Shipping services that I can refer you to that will crate and ship to countries like Australia. New Zealand. UK as well as other country's in Europe if you require those services.
