Description

HI! I'm now tired of people offering me ?3000 for a bike worth well over ?4000. where some dealerships put such a bike up for up to ?5500. So please. if you are reading it and thinking of writing to me with a silly offer. save yourself time and don't. Thanks :)This is a genuine sale of a motorcycle previously registered in the UK. however due to my age and location I was unable to insure such a beast legally in London. so I've decided to re-register it back in Poland. Many of you will stop reading here. my advice is. read the DVLA website about importing vehicles. and soon you could be making yourself ??. unless you're 21 like me and have no way of insuring such motorcycles. But I will be putting it back on a UK after NYE if the bike does not sell until then. Talking about the bike now. I loved every ride I had on it. I still love it now. but having 178bhp bellow you. and only using it in London to 'race' from one set of traffic lights to the other is pretty pointless. Well yes. I have only realised now despite being told that by my older fellow bikers. Now I regret taking the bike to school/work because I swear at every speed bump I approach. I have actually got the bike completely standard. but because I was planing to keep it looooooong. I did not save a penny on any spending I made on the bike. Of course to a limit. -Security was most important. because I've already had an alarm. I have invested in a RoadAngel tracking device. I will take it out. use it on my next motorcycle but the cable work will be still there. so if you decide to go for a tracker. you already saved 1. 5h labour cost. because all you need to do is just connect the tracker. -Having it standard. was just not a thing for me. so the first shot was obviously the exhausts. Why the SP Engineering ? Yes. everyone will say Yoshi. Yoshi (no one will say Arrow. ). but have you heard the SPs ? They sound deep and rich. loud enough for a tin to hear you. but not as loud to make you death within a week. it sound like a sports bike. not a chopper with a through pipe. BTW. the catalytic converter is still there. -Well next was the brake discs. wavy look good. but they also tend not to heat up as much. therefore work better. again HH sintered pads were a must from new. -Black screen came soon after. well that I actually made happen myself. well I should have known that scrubbing the clear screen with a rough sponge would leave marks. but also allowed me to quickly get a new screen :))-I said the bike was standard. didn't I. well I lied. I had. one thing custom. very ugly. eye hurting handle grips. thick clear with a Suzuki and GSX-R logo on them. That was quickly replaced. actually to make sure no one damages their bike with the ugly grips I decided to shred them with scissors and replace them with high quality rubber handle grips. blue and black. which give it a touch of blue. but also look nice and neat. -Having done that. on my way to Ace Cafe to meet a few friends. something came of the bike. yes. the bar end came off. I wasn't going to stop on the A406 to pick up my bar end but luckily there is Infinity Motorcycles just up the road in Hunger Lane which have a few bits and bobs. I was on my way to them hoping that one of them will have a tool box to help me fit the bar end I buy on my bike. but luckily the Oxford bar ends come with a hex key so you can do it yourself! That also added a touch of blue to the bike and again. makes it stand out without shouting "LOOK I'M A CHEAP TUNE UP. "-Then came the HID 8000k xenon set. which was fitted professionally by me. I mean all the things on the bike have been done by me. and the HID make it stand out at night. and you see 60% more then your friend on a R6 :))-Then there was a few small things like a carbon fibre yoke protector. blue rim tape. GoPro stickers and other. -All parts such as chain and sprockets have been given enough attention during my ownership that they will not need to be change until someone forgets about them totally. I must admit. I love spending time in the garage. whether its cleaning the bike. cleaning and lubing the chain. doing a service either on the bike or a car. or just filling up the radiator fluid. I love it. I have learnt a lot about the gixxer thanks to Haynes manuals. I have had no problems with the bike. at all. no funny F1 lights. or starting problems. or anything at all. the only thing people coming to view the bike with ?3400 in the pocket mentioned a few scuffs on the wheel. the chip stone pictured and the crack on the front fender (funny enough I have the part that came off). Let me explain these. the scuffs on the wheels are there from me locking the bike up with an Oxford chain (just before I got myself an Almax) without the sleeve. Living in Tottenham for a while having the bike chained to a lamp post and every now taking the bike. and taking the chain off and on has given it a few scuffs on the rim. I was planing to get the wheels powder coated white anyway. but since I want to sell I didn't yet bother. The rim is nice and round. well balanced but the scuffs have been picked up by 2 people. The front fender was a disclock problem. everyone has been there. maybe not as far as me to breaking their fender. but I always treated myself special. The chipstones. well I have been on dual carriageways and sometimes your lucky to get a knock on your helmet from a stone following a truck. but sometime less luckily your bike gets hit. Lastly the tyres do have some thread left but I would say by mid next season the bike will be looking for a new set of rubbers. The bike is listed for such a low value only just because it takes about a week to re-register the bike. and because people are scared to buy a foreign vehicle (well even though this one has a photocopy of the UK logbook). Well if you have read everything up to here. you are either really bored or really interested. anyway. if you have any questions still not answered. please contact me and I will try to clarify. Please don't feel offended if I do not respond. your offer is either stupid as mentioned before. or your question is explained here already. Regards. rzemek Piotrowicz (07758800191)
