This Rather splendid tax exempt 1974 Suzuki GT750L has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to machinery than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 15463 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES. As you can see this bike is very nearly complete missing just the Grab rail & hi/lo knob off the L/h switch cluster. The bike has obviously stood a while so the battery is flat. Sadly the rear mudguard & points cover are slightly dented. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS. The bike is every bit as nice as it looks here. The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims. good hubs. brake plate. disc. caliper & working master cylinder. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Mudguards are both solid & front is very tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. IInstruments look great. Fuel tank & side panels are peachy & tank is usably clean inside. Carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. Exhaust system is a new Delkevic set up. Seat has been covered & base is in very good condition throughout. Chain guard is tidy. The engine is cosmetically very clean. it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression – When we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it a few squirts of ether it starts & runs but the carbs do need cleaning. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated.

We HAVE NOT got the certificate of title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.

REGISTRATION

1. You need to get the bike MOT’d.

2. You need to prove the year of manufacture in writing. Phone Suzuki UKs customer support on 0500 011959 (press opt 2 & opt 2 again) with the Model type. frame & engine Numbers. they will organize an application for a dating letter – there is a charge for this service.

3. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number.

4. Send all this paper work to the DVLA. who will charge you ?55 for the 1st registration & the current amount for the road tax.

5. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
