2003 SUZUKI SAVAGE 650LS WITH ONLY 1700 MILES! GREAT STARTER BIKE FOR BEGINNERS!

VERY LOW MILEAGE 2003 SUZUKI SAVAGE 650LS. ONLY 1700 (YES SEVENTEEN HUNDRED) MILES.

RUNS GREAT. TIRES ARE FINE AND THIS BIKE IS PERFECT FOR THE BEGINNING RIDER. OR SOMEONE WHO WANTS A LIGHTER. MORE NIMBLE EASIER TO HANDLE BIKE THAN THE HEAVIER CRUISERS.

The deal is this. this is a great CHEAP bike. A perfect bike for someone starting out learning how to ride. This has plenty of get up and go. and mechanically is sound. nbsp;and the ride is comfortable. The bad news is the good news. IT IS A $1800 motorcycle. And for a 650 for under $2000 and 11 years old. you have to expect that there will be flaws. For this bike those flaws are the cosmetic issues of pitting and corrosion due to the bike being left uncovered and exposed to the elements. I want to paint a realistic picture of what the condition is. but. I do not want to be over critical of the flaws.   The valuation or devaluation of the bike. because of the oxidation spots on the chrome and aluminum pieces is a very subjective thing. Each owner of this bike would have differing opinions as to what. if anything. they would do to correct it. Ride the bike!

  It only has 1700 miles on the motor. and the drivetrain is solid. Clutch is fine. nbsp;the bike shifts as it should. nbsp;the tires are like new and it brakes perfectly.  The Savage fires right up. I put a new battery and spark plug in it two weeks ago. I'm sure an oil change and a carb adjustment wouldn't hurt. But. it starts and runs fine as it is now. Did I mention it only has 1700 miles on it?. lol. The bike has some nice little upgrades like the GEL seats for the rider and passenger. Makes it easier to stay in the saddle longer. It has the sport shield windshield on it. and the saddle bag mounting brackets are already on the bike too.  Those three things alone were about $500 in upgrade when the bike was new. The bike needs a battery box cover plate. I saw one on e-Bay for $39. The bike was laid down (that is why it sat for awhile. the guy was 73 years old when he bought the bike new in 2003 and wanted to learn how to ride. he dumped it coming out of the driveway and never got back on it) and the front shifter side foot peg was bent. It is still fine to rest your foot on and the rubber grip molding around it is solid. There is also two smaller than a finger tip size paint chips on the gas tank. Again. its a 650cc bike for under $2000! RIDE THE BIKE!  it's fun to ride and you will have a motorcycle without having to go into debt for it.
