1975 SUZUKI T500 T 500 TITAN VINTAGE 2 STROKE TWIN

I am selling a Blue 1975 Suzuki T500 T 500 Titan. This is a 2 stroke 2 cylinder 500cc oil injected vintage street bike. This model is also known as the Titan, t came after the T 500 Cobra and before the GT 500. This is a really nice looking original example that needs some TLC. The bike only has 10,182 miles on it. Please read the entire ad before bidding.

Engine: The bike is all stock. I have done a lot to it but it needs a little more tinkering to be a perfect running example. The bike has a New battery, ew points and condensers, ew spark plugs, ew air filter, ew fuel petcock, ew oil and the carburetors were ultrasonically cleaned. I also added an in-line switch at the oil injection tank to turn it off while it is in storage.

The bike starts first kick and runs great at idle. When riding the bike it gets to around 3K RPM then loses power. The engine never shuts off it just won’t make any more power and I am not sure why. The bike has 140psi across both cylinders. I don’t have any more time to diagnose the problem. The bike does shift through all gears with no problems. Everything on the bike works, il injection, ights etc etc.

Body: Cosmetically the bike is in excellent shape. The nicest original I have seen in person. The paint is original. Small ding on the front fender but that is all. There are a few scratches here and there due to age (40) years old SEE PICTURES. The inside the gas tank has been coated by the previous owner. The chrome is very nice and the seat is perfect. This is a stock example except for the handlebars. The bars look great and feel good but Suzuki still sells the stock handlebars if desired. The engine looks great. The bike could be polished up to look even better.

Examine pictures for condition.

Chassis: The tires are like new. The brakes work great. The right front fork boot is torn and it could use a fork service.

This Bike must be picked up from Lowell MA 01852. I would like it picked up within 2 weeks. I have no problems with meeting a shipper but the buyer must set that up. NO PAYPAL accepted. If shipping the bike you can send a check and the bike can be picked up after payment has cleared. Or payment can be made in cash upon pickup.
