1957 Triumph TR6 Trophy

 1957 triumph TR6 pre unit. When I bought this bike it was a running operating bike. that needed some work. I removed the engine/trans to braze a new kickstand lug and new kickstand. I sent both the speedo and tach (chrono style) to Nisonger for rebuild. but I didnt want the faces to be redone. so they are original and nice. New tach cable and speedo cable. The front forks were just rebuilt from the previous owner. I was told that the head is a Cliff Guild special from Tricor as explained in Triumph Racing Motorcycles in america. The twin carb Delta head caused a sensation in the US when it first appeared in 1957 as a dealer retofit. The Delta Dual-Carb head was offered purpose built for the 650s in 1958 with the correct size combustion chambers and exhaust ports for 650cc. Tricor offered a specially modified version the splayed-port head featuring oversize 1. 5 inlet valves. Rare rare head!!!  New rear shock bushings. new wiring harness(needs to be installed to get running) new solid state volt reg. complete new exhaust system. ew gas tank mounts. Gas tank is clean and ready for use. The clutch and primary chain look like they were replaced recently. No tears on the seat. The patina is great and I had no plans to paint the bike. Comes with a NY state transferable reg. that states it is a 1958. but the serial number (number matching) makes it a 1957. call with ques? Chris 203-858-3115
