 Triumph Sprint ST 1050 200537188 milesBlueSo here we have a lovely ST that I bought in October last year. It was bought so I could go with some friends on a road trip to Scotland. I use a scooter everyday for work and needed something more fun and up to the task. this bike ticked all the boxes and was amazing. When the trip was over I started using it for work. then the weather changed and I gave her a quick wash and put her away and got the scooter back out. Unfortunately the ST is too much of a bike for my daily commute and I do not have another trip planned for this year so I am wanting to sell her on. When I got the bike I had some work done so I knew she could do the journey: New front tyre (Michelin Road 4. 1500miles used). New steering bearings fitted (thought the old were quite worn). Monokey Givi back box rack fitted (box not included). Bagster tank cover (so I could put my bag on. bag not included). Two new fairings fitted (whole rear fairing and right hand lower front). New chain with front and back sprockets (so again 1500miles use)Things to consider:This bike is classed as a Cat D write off. If you do not know what this means. it was in an accident (or damaged in some way) and the insurance company has classed it as cosmetic damage. repairable (CAT D). This is why the bike has two new fairings. these were damaged and I replaced them when I got the bike. This was the extent on the damage from the crash. There are some marks to nose fairing and mirror but very slight and i'm not sure if that was the crash or just from everyday use. The old upper fairing has got a few marks that were touched up (from everyday use). On my trip I thought the bike rode lovely. four things I noticed that if I was keeping her I would have done:Front forks could do with new oil and dampers tightened as they have a slight click when used firmly (nothing major but i'm fussy). The clutch has the normal ST problem of this mileage (can be found on ST forums). which is the clutch sticks if you try to give it a hand full of gas off the line in first. does not slip in any gear under full power but just grabs for a second on pull off. It only happened a hand full of times on the trip when I was giving it some off the lights. On normal use it was fine. New right hand fairing has ABS written on it. THIS IS NOT ABS MODEL triumph did not have the other in stock and I was against the clock so had to get this one. I also did not get the silver trim (that can be seen on the left side in photo) as I did not need it to use the bike and thought it a waste of money. This can be bought from Triumph if you want it. Left hand heated grip does not work. these are triumph. The one that works seems to be on low all the time and the switch turns the heat up? not sure whats up i needed it on so i left it but it can be unplugged easily. I would just replace for some oxford grips or get rid of them all together.

The bike has got quite a good service history with lots of stamps in the book. last was march 2014 so will need one in march this year. tax is no longer transferable but as the v5 takes weeks to change to new owner I will not cancel the tax for a couple of days so you will be able to ride home without having to worry. MOT is 9th June 2015.
