Description

Reluctantly for sale is my 1971 Triton. Dry stored since being brought home. Health issues and a recent hip replacement dictate the sale of this and my other bikes. I can no longer kick start an bike. It was built around the desirable Wideline frame. This had been nicely re-finished in gloss black prior to my purchase. It has short roadholder forks. lloy rims on conical hubs. ith nearly new tyres. Engine is a pre-unit big bearing 6T high compression with a Bonneville twin carburettor head running Amal concentrics. ignition is by Boyer Bransden with a solid state battery mounted under the front of the seat. Gearbox looks as though it could be/was a slick shift. Tanks are alloy with just a couple of very small dinks on the petrol tank. this is fitted with a new stainless steel strap and toggle. Alloy mudguards are fitted. Other items are Ace Clubman bars with Doherty levers. miths speedometer and rev counter. This motorcycle is listed in the V5 quite usefully  as a Triton. I encourage viewings and will consider sensible offers on inspection. Please email me with you contact details. Thankyou. An update on the bike as follows. i removed the plugs yesterday and turned the engine over with no problems. The clutch seemed to disengage smoothly as well. Lights also worked. As the bike was running immediately before storage I assume it will only take some fuel and a bit of leg muscle and kicking to have it running again. For information as to the bikes history-It is a 1957 Norton Wideline frame with a 1959 6T engine.  I have found some additional paperwork to go with this machine. Receipts for engine. lutch. lectrics parts. About ?450 worth of parts. This work appears to have been carried out between 2009-2010. this was when the bike was owned and registered in the Isle of Wight.
