Triumph Bonneville T140V 1978 UK Model

I have for sale my Triumph Bonneville T140V 750cc 1978. The engine and frame have matching numbers and can easily be viewed on the bike and verified on the V5C.  I have owned this bike for over eight years. The bike was quite rough when I aquired it but during the last eight years I have got it to the stage you see in the attached photo's. I hold a comprehensive receipt file of all the parts/work on this bike and I will hand this over to the new owner for continuity recording. All work carried out by myself. Top end re-build (Valve guides and new valves and springs) and new clutch carried out after I had covered around 2. 00 miles of owning the bike. All MOT certificates are present since my ownership and tax disc's. These will be handed over with the rest of the paperwork for this bike. Mileage on the clock is showing 41. 00. I have covered around 4. 00 of these miles on local runs. I had the clock recalibrated a while ago. I have the calibration sheet for this. Wheels are aluminium with stainless spokes and tyres have good tread. Handle bars are not standard but I have these raised ones which improved the riding position for me. You will also notice that the seat is not the standard UK seat. I have the original but it neads re-covering. I will also hand this over to the new owner. Reason for selling the bike is reducing my bike collection and moving on to other projects. I am a member of the local Vintage Motorcycle club and have used this bike on various organised runs around Northamptonshire. Always get comments on the old girl wherever we go !!Recent work during the winter months include :Upgraded the electronics to Boyer Mk4Two new Norton Peashooter silencers. These sound great and give a good toneNew Oring seals on the rocker shafts. Each one had a small oil leak but all ok now. Two new carburrettorsVented brake disc on the back wheel and upgraded the brake caliper to improve breaking. These bikes are heavy and take a bit of stopping lol !!Petrol tank relined to resist the ethonol in unleaded petrolNew ethonol petrol tapsNew Oil pressure relief valve and pressure switch. This bike has also got the cooling filter on the duplex frame to assist cooling. This has been on the bike since I purchased it. Works well. IMPORTANT NOTICE !!
