( I start my restored Triumphs with a lawn mower gas tank and a set of old. used pipes so they don't discolor. ) Everything is either new or rebuilt. SUSPENSION: Front end has new tubes. seals. bushings. gaters. Rear shocks are new replacements. Wheels are re-chromed original Dunlop rims with Buchanan stainless spokes. new double sealed bearings. Tires are new correct Dunlop K70's. New RK rear chain & Triumph sprockets. New seat from Coventry Spares. ELECTRICAL: New cloth-covered wiring harness that has not been altered or cut. Converted to 12 volt. negative ground system with Boyer & Tympanium. Headlight is correct and original Lucas 700. Original tail light frame the includes the plastic license holder tube. (see photo) Original 6volt stator. rotor. points. condensers are included. EXHAUST: 1963 was the only year to attach the headers on the lower engine mounting bolt. These are correct. (see photo ). GAUGES: SMITHS Chronometrics rebuilt by Greg Poirier with the correct 140 mph speedometer used only on the Bonneville. UNIQUE TO 1963: Items that were unique to this first year unit construction have been retained on this bike: exhaust headers that attach to the lower engine mount; Chronometric gauges; lower oil tank mount welded to tank (with no drain ); foot pegs attached to the frame; front end from the pre-unit; no intake manifold crossover tube.
